Hotel in ottima posizione. Un ringraziamento particolare va ad Alysia, ragazza eccezionale che ci ha deliziato con il suo ottimo cappuccino.

Albergo molto carino nel centro di Skiathos. I ragazzi della reception e tutti i membri dello staff sono stati fantastici. Purtroppo il giudizio negativo è determinato dal fatto che per 4 giorni non ho mai avuto l’acqua calda in camera e, nonostante i reclami, il problema non è mai stato risolto e sono stato costretto a fare sempre la doccia fredda. L’albergo è convenzionato per la cena con il ristorante Carnayo, consiglio vivamente di andarci, a mio avviso uno dei migliori di Skiathos.

L’hotel, recentemente ristrutturato, si trova un una posizione eccellente per visitare Skiathos e godere della giusta tranquillità senza dover rinunciare alla comodità dell’essere in centro città. Il personale è attento e disponibile. I servizi sono ottimi (piscina, bar, colazione). Le stanze sono spaziose e curate seppur con qualche piccolissimo neo. Fantastica la vista dalla terrazza in cui si fa colazione. Non potrei non consigliare questo hotel!

We stayed at the Alkyon for 2 weeks from the 12th - 26th August. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly hotel reception team who quickly checked us in to our room. This hotel is perfectly places for Skiathos town, having restaurants on the doorstep and right on the water front and within easy walking distance to the old and new ports. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, we stayed in room 208 on the ground floor with a partial side see view. We stayed bed & breakfast and I have to say the breakfast was amazing and we were spoilt for choice. Thank you to the restaurant team for their service and quality of food and presentation The view from the terrace over the harbour was fabulous, what a way to start your day eating breakfast whilst watching all the boats in the harbour, The pool was ideal if you did not want to go to the beach which is a bus ride away from the hotel (€3 to all the different beach locations and the bus stop is just around the corner from the hotel). Alternatively you can go to the Tennis Club which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and has a pool, sun beds and restaurant/bar as the hotel pool had limited sun beds. However, we managed to get a sun bed every day during our stay. The hotel provide towels for the pool. The bar staff were great, big shout out to Elsa who was very funny, Monika and Stella for serving us drinks around the pool and seating area. The pool food menu was good and the portion sizes were really good. The hotel was spotless and the atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again and would like to thank all the hotel team for making our stay a memorable one

I can only say that we are amazed with our stay at this beautiful hotel . The Alkyon is located right in front on the sea , surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the harbor and the sea across . The breakfast is served at the roof top restaurant, offering breath taking views at Skiathos Town. Extremely clean and very friendly staff. Back again in September.

The Alkyon is well appointed with a delightful staff who are very invested in the travelers staying at the hotel. It’s clean, fresh and modern (not fancy). The breakfast is superb and some rooms have water views. If your goal is to stay in the town of Skiathos (as opposed to the many resorts and smaller hotels elsewhere on the island), this is a good choice. Added benefit is that the Alkyon is off the beaten track, in a quiet area away from the busy streets with tourists, restaurants and nightclubs.

When I first arrived, there was an ashtray on the balcony table with 2 cigarette ends inside. I assumed the cleaner would take care of it the following day but it was still there 3 days later. This wouldn't have bothered me if it had been a 2 star hotel but considering it claims to be 4 star, and also the extremely expensive room rates, I found this shocking. Also the inferior towels were disappointing. On arrival I explained that my Mother wasn't able to travel and that I would be on my own for the first week. I asked if it was possible to have a reduction in price as had paid for 2 breakfasts per day. I was told that if I had informed them the previous day that this would have been fine but letting them know on arrival was not ok. I wasn't happy so the receptionist said they would ask the manager in the evening and let me know the next day. The answer was still No. The Greediness of the Management is shocking. I also asked if 2 family members, staying elsewhere, could come for a breakfast to use up a couple of the breakfasts that had been paid for. Again the manager had to be asked in the evening and again the answer was NO. The language barrier is also blamed for misunderstandings. I asked for twin beds instead of the double that I had been inadvertently given on arrival, as I had a family member arriving for the 2nd week. I was told that I didn't have to change rooms and they could sort this out in the same room. This turned out not to be true and I was interrogated at the reception desk as to who had told me this. "What did the person look like? Was it the English girl? What colour hair did they have? Was it the English girl? ". Shocking customer service! The only good thing about this hotel is the view from the breakfast terrace. The breakfast is ok but nothing special. Definitely not worth the high price for what is basically 2 star facilities/services.

Alkyon Hotel, Skiathos. The hotel is kept exceptionally clean by the cleaners. The staff are very hard working and polite in the breakfast and restaurant. Special thanks to Elsa & Monica for looking after us and making us feel special. Terry & Jill

Absolutely fantastic hotel 5* service from the amazing staff. The rooms are beautiful and spotless the cleaning staff come in every and change everything. The pool and grounds are immaculate. It is set In a beautiful location with views over the sea from the breakfast room. The walk into Skiathos town is literally 5 minutes The food was delicious and very well presented. I absolutely recommend everything about this hotel and would come back again for sure.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Cant fault it in any way. We went for B&B option, which also came with free Half Board option at the time. Buffet breakfast was fantastic with a massive choice (especially watermelon and peaches!) and beautiful views of the port. Half board option was in a restaurant by the hotel and is a 4 course set meal with options for starter and main. We ate there three times and every meal was superb. The hotel reception staff were friendly and really helpful, especially Anna snd Chris. Two minutes walk to bus stop 1 or plenty of nearby parking if you hire a car. Highly recommend the hotel, we will definitely return.

Excellent hotel. Very good location with excellent views across the coast and to outlying islands. Wonderful breakfast and the whole experience was improved by the staff. In particular, I would like to mention Anna, Hans, Alexandra, Stella and a special mention to Chris who looked after us at arrival and departure.

Our second visit to the lovely Alkyon Hotel. The hotel is perfectly situated for all the bars, restaurants, shops that Skiathos Town has to offer and there are plenty to choose from. The hotel is beautiful and clean. They provide a very good breakfast with a beautiful view overlooking the port. They have their own restaurant at the front of the hotel. The staff are so accomodating and friendly, so knowledgeable of the area and all the trips Skiathos has to offer. We did the Mamma Mia trip on our first visit which is amazing. Our second trip we visited 4 different beaches around Skiathos and we did another trip to Skopoles and Alonissis, both are beautiful and well worth a visit. The only downside to the hotel is if you want a relaxing day you have to get up so early to get a sunbed around the pool. We never did get one but we had been advised to take a 5 minute walk to the tennis club, they have a lovely pool with many sunbeds, the charge is 5 euro per sunbed from 9am till 6pm, we had two lovely days there and their food is lovely too. We definitely will return to Alkyon and couldn't ask for more from them, they treat all their guests so well. Skiathos is definitely for exploring, the island is stunning and draws you back.

Excellent hotel, very good situated near town, sea, port, bus . Nice and clean room with balcony. Breakfast is perfect, very varied, with a beautiful seaview. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful stay, worth a return in future!
