Hotel Medium Romantic

We loved this quirky older hotel. Be advised that there is no elevator. We lucked out by having a terrace room that was only up one flight of stairs. Breakfast was great, we were able to dine outside. Close to everything Sitges has to offer. Our room was comfortable and quite large by European standards.

Amazing I can not begin to say how lovely this hotel is and how helpful the staff are, each room is unique and so much art work in every corner One of our party is coeliac and the staff could not do enough for us Please be aware that there isn’t a lift in the hotel We asked for a kettle for the room and it was provided immediately Breakfast was lovely a good selection and variety of food We will definitely come back to stay again

This is a superb hotel. A huge recommendation. The only flaw is the lack of a lift. The second floor room was excellent and spacious. Great views and exceptionally clean. Fantastic breakfasts and wonderful courtyard. Very relaxing and quiet. The staff were kind and caring. Nothing too much trouble. A superb stay.

It was a funky old hotel in need of some refurbishment. Staff was great, breakfast was very good and location was good.

Let’s start with the positives - great location, ambiences is lovely with all the amazing tiles and paint work on the ceilings. And the staff were all lovely and very helpful. Breakfast spreads continental, was decent and set in the lovely outdoor patio area. The downsides - beware if you have mobility issues, older people in your group or big bags as there is no lift/elevator. The images the hotel provides are definitely of some refurbished rooms. We were on the top floor and our rooms didn’t look as updated as the pictures. The ceiling fan we had in the room felt like it might fall off at any moment when it was on. The biggest let down were the bathrooms, which we subsequently realised aren’t shown anywhere (for a reason). Size isn’t the issue, it’s the fact that you have cracked sinks, a tiny bathtub type arrangement which, again, if anyone has mobility issues would be a problem. If the group would focus on upgrading things like the bathrooms, it would put this hotel further up my estimations. On balance - a little gem that’s a bit rough around the edges and could do with a a polish.

Excellent location for the station. Rooms were excellent and loved the balcony. Breakfast was a basic offering but good. Only comment you can only have one towel a day

This property used to be family owned and run, not so much anymore... The Romantic has now expanded to include several adjacent buildings, in addition to the Renaixenca which it had owned for years. Now all part of the chain of Medium Hotels. Overall I was disappointed in the service and our room. Room requests from 5 months prior to our visit were not honored, not even considered from what I could tell. We were assigned "the last room in the hotel", a room with 2 beds (which we requested) on the very tip top floor without the assistance of an elevator. Over 80 steps up and 80 steps down each time. We did get the room changed the next day to one two floors lower. I liked it better before the changes. So, sadly it will no longer be my first and only choice when visiting Sitges.

This is a lovely hotel in Sitges. The rooms themselves are quite basic, but comfortable and has AC which is essential for the summer. The rooms are all accessible by staircase, and ours was on the very top floor, which was quite the workout when going up to the room. There is a free breakfast at this hotel which was a perfect start to the day, and you can enjoy breakfast in their lovely courtyard. The hotel is very well situated in Sitges, less than a 5 minute walk to the train station and beach, with loads of restaurants and bars nearby. Overall would recommend this hotel!

The hotel is a part of the medium hotel change, its difficult to see wich hotel is what, because they use the same pictures on several propertys. After more than 15 years in the hotel business, I just have to say.. focus on the details.. show the guests who you are and what you can, they didn't. The pictures on *******, and there webside is far from the real, they have one reception for 3 different hotels, and NO service at all, the maintenance is not existing, and so is the elevator. Just important for some to know. IMPORTANT.. The building has a fire risk issue.. one day my friend went to breakfast before me, and took my key.. hmm but WOW.. I can't get out of my room ?????? I had to call, please come back and let me out... that can't be legal, or ? The staff in the breakfast restaurant are super sweet and kind. When they close at 12.00 there is nothing more to have. Pictures of the bar, nice, but bar not open, picture of the yard, nice, but not open after breakfast, there are notning you can buy or have efter the breakfast, except water and coke in the reception. It was a super bad experience, and a bit strange to see, that it was trawellers choice on ******* with 360 something rewiews. HMMMMM What's the price for that ? and who is earning money on the bookings ? We didn't get what they showed us on there web side, so we was not happy.
