As the hotel me and my partner regularly stay at in 's-Hertogenbosch was fully booked, we booked this hotel on our trip to the Netherlands. The pictures of the hotel you can find online represent the hotel well and the setting of this conference hotel in a former boarding school building is very nice; nature, history and spaciousness. The hotel has standard rooms and "luxury" rooms. Main difference is that the luxury ones have a Swiss Sense mattress bed and coffee machine in the room. As the mattress of the standard room we were staying at, was too hard for my partner - he couldn't sleep the first night, we request another room with softer mattresses. The hotel staff first claimed that we already stayed in a room with their premium Swiss Sense mattresses, but checking the mattress it was from some other brand. Than requesting again the same, we were assigned to a new one. Unfortunately these beds weren't much better; the mattresses were super soft and the pillows were of a poor quality. Leaving this hotel after a few nights not having slept well, we decided not to return again. Upon arrival back home we filled in a guest survey in which we pointed out our concerns, but have (even after more than a month) not received any feedback from this hotel - disappointing. The staff was not recommendable either, only 1 of the night staff receptionists spoke English and the other one - of a Turkish background found it appropriate to ask what our religious background was in the few words English he spoke, still not sure why that was appropriate / necessary to ask. You won't see us here again.

I stayed at this hotel/conference centre when attending the nearby Regina Coeli language institute for a week. I stayed two days extra over the weekend since I hadn't been to this part of the Netherlands before. The good points: the rooms are comfortable and clean. The recreational facilities (pool, gym, sauna) are of a high standard. The staff are friendly and don't immediately switch to English when you are trying to practise Dutch! The bad points: like many conference hotels it is sterile. Over the weekend (when there are no conferences) the hotel is almost deserted and the the bar and restaurant are closed. It is very expensive considering what it offers. Although I have many reservations, I'd still recommend it since there is very little in the way of up-market hotels nearby.

The front facade is impressing and old although the hotel itself is attached to it and much more modern. The grounds are huge and you can play squash, tennis, golf or visit the pool and sauna. It all looks great and sounds great but it's missing that bit extra. Breaksfast is basic with just a few different choices and the quality is low. Bread rolls that you can get at the local supermarket and oven bake yourself. The bacon which just isn't real bacon. And so on. The staff consist of a few people who know how it works and a lot of youngsters who do not know anything. All in all you can get a nice deal for the weekend but don't expect anything above your normal leel of expectation.

Remote, quiet, lacks atmosphere. Good solid option for business meetings / conferences but very much mid - range at best. Located in a pretty village front of house is promising located in a former country house but as you get further in the disappointment increases. Restaurant /bar small , menu limited but food quality high. Rooms are dated and cold. Needed extra heating even with a/c set to 26 degs. Staff very professional, helpful and friendly. An 'ok' experience.

Rooms was clean and spacious. Large flat television with aces to HDMI for streaming. Internet Strength was the weak point but still much better than many other hotels I have visited. Many facilities sauna pool squash tennis. A large parking area. Resturant was also ok for buffet style. Staff was friendly in all my interactions. Bar can be over run due to all the company events but staff did there best to keep everyone's glass full.

I was here for a week for Corporate event. The room was a light nicer than what I expected. It even has a cooling fridge in the room. Bathroom showers look really nice. It has a nice comfortable workspace, and the staff were very friendly I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Wij verbleven één nacht in dit hotel. Groot hotel met vriendelijk personeel. De kamers zijn net en het ontbijt is goed. Mooi zwembad en fitnessruimte. Het sterke punt van dit hotel is het domein en de omgeving. Prachtig onderhouden domein, en mooie buurt met vele fiets en wandelwegen. Je kan in het hotel zelfs fietsen huren.

Via ViaLuxury een arrangement geboekt bij de Ruwenberg. 2 overnachtingen in een superieur kamer, incl. ontbijt, diner en fietshuur. We hebben genoten. Van ontvangst t/m uitchecken was het top. We hadden een kamer aan de kant van de dommel met mooi uitzicht. De kamer was schoon en alle gemakken voorzien. We vonden wel de dekbedden wat aan de dikke kant voor de zomer dus dan de airco maar op vries stand. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid voor elk wat wils, lekker vers brood, fruit noem maar op. We stonden wel regelmatig in de file bij het koffieapparaat en vonden 1 apparaat voor zo'n groot restaurant wat karig. Maar de koffie van verse bonen is goed en je kunt verschilkende koffierecepten maken. Het diner was ook inclusief en top. Heerlijk gegeten van voorgerecht tot en met dessert. We schrokken wel wat van de prijzen van de dranken en sommige zijn echt niet in verhouding, maar ja, de tijdsgeest zullen we het maar noemen. De omgeving is prachtig. Met de fietsen een mooie fietsknopen route gevolgd. Lekker geluncht in Sint-Michielsgestel en weer door op de fiets. We hebben ook gebruik gemaakt van zwembad en wellness en ook die waren prima in orde. Kortom zoek je een relaxed goed verzorgd weekend in een rustige omgeving. Dan is de Ruwenberg wat ons betreft wel een aanrader.
