The Westin Singapore

Being located in the central district, and being a five-star hotel, i would have expected parking to have been provided. but it wasn't. the whole day of parking would cost $77 on weekdays. So if you're driving, you gotta find somewhere else cheaper to park. The hotel was as clean as a hotel can be. The service provided by the front desk was great. They were friendly and clear on the information they needed to convey. However, we received bad services as well. Requested for housekeeping at around 10am with one of the colleagues standing around near the front desk, pressing the lift. But came back to the room, not done. Called again late in the afternoon but no one came. Called the third time, was told by the operator that they will get back to me, but no one did. after calling the fourth time, did someone confirm housekeeping will be done. TLDR: Request for housekeeping at 10am, only came at 7pm (after calling a few more times). Facilities were similar to those in other hotels. so no complaints as I only used the pool. However, the in-room facilities were bad. HDMI cable was spoiled, wanted to use as the TV channels were limited. So no HDMI, no in-room entertainment. iPhone dock beside the bed was not working, so no hearing of music on speakers. The room ended up being what it primarily is. to eat, shower, sleep. This is solely based on my experience staying in room 4008. Pity I was too annoyed to take pictures of the above. Did i enjoy my stay? meh. Will I recommened others to come? Definitely not.

Happy to be able to arrange a staycation weekend in the midst of a nationwide lockdown where we are not even allowed to dine in at restaurants and cafes. At least we can order delivery and eat in the hotel, looking out from the window and pretending that we are at a high end restaurant at marina bay.

The room and furnishings of the hotel were very clean and pretty new with no noise disturbance at all… food from in-room dining was palatable as well… the view at hotel lobby was so much nicer than the one in our room… However, we booked this hotel thinking that the bathtub was right beside the window and will have a nice view for relaxation. But the room that was assigned to me had a different layout and there was totally no view from toilet at all.. Although our room is at 37th floor but the view was almost totally blocked by Marina One building and was just 2 floors above the hotel swimming pool… another minus point is that the complimentary parking is not similar like other hotels that offers full day complimentary parking coupon from entering to exit of carpark…

My second stay in this hotel. Mrt station is just downstair so very convenient for tourists. Weekend will be very quiet and hardly any food nearby unless you walk or order in. Room was huge and have a nice view! Was surprised that Westin has not many paid channels on the TV. Maybe time to add in netfix. Pool has a lovely view and make sure you bring along your sunblock. Hotel breakfast has improved as compared to previous time. Any minus points? Well The two front desk ladies were a-bit cold during the check-in. No smile at all and was not that “willing” to issue me a parking coupon which ultimately my guy said he would pay for the parking. Thank goodness, i did not see them when i check out. Instead , its the same guy who checked me in the previous time! He still remembered me! Good memory! Thank you Mr Bobby Chan for your warm smile that made me feel welcome to book the hotel again!

Service was good. Place was clean with nice window views. Restaurant gave a panaromic view of the environment. I liked the complimentary aroma spray - unique touch from this hotel!

View wasn’t the best from where I’m staying. Bathroom was directly facing the pool. In my opinion, they should have upgraded the room for us to keep going back for the experience. Overall was a pleasant stay.

Positives: - Lovely room decor and room layout - Even though my room faces the pool, still get sea views. So, lovely views - Smooth bed linens - Media panel - bedside wireless charger, clock, Bluetooth speaker - spacious toilet with separate shower and toilet cubicle - impressive standalone Kaldewei bathtub - Super comfortable bath robes - Impressive range of channels on tv Negatives - Bed and pillows a tad too soft for my liking - 43 inch tv could be bigger - no Chromecast - no electronic curtains - lack of bedside usb charging option - lifts do not have direct access to ground floor. Need to change lifts at 32nd floor lobby. May be troublesome for some

Serves its purpose for my business trip. Good service and amenities. Will come back again

Second time at Westin and managed to get a better room this time. There were some food scraps and stains around in the room but generally it was a good and comfortable stay. Really like the bathtub here, one of the best ones you can find in sg hotels I believe. The pool view was pretty nice too. You could see MBS and the office buildings around. Buffet breakfast selection was not bad. There was a live omelette station which we enjoyed. Will definitely return again!
