This is my first time writing a bad review. The service is really bad. There is no wifi and no signal. I told the front desk many times but they always said they would repair it but they didn't. It delayed my important work.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms and grounds were stunning. The attention to detail was impressive. The food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The view from our room was fantastic, looking out at Sigiriya and Pidurangala Rock. A very tranquil place with beautiful, natural surroundings.

Not a place you would stumble across but well worth seeking out. A totally peaceful and tranquil place, very clean, great restaurant and spectacular view of sigiriya or lion rock. Ver polite and helpful staff. Very highly recommend if staying this area

My stay at Sigiriya Kings Resort was beautiful. From the views to the food to the serenity, everything was spectacular. The staff at the resort were so kind and friendly, and were always so attentive to our needs. I will definitely be coming back.

Ruhig, abgeschieden, mitten im Dschungel, zugleich modern, stilvoll mit direktem Blick auf den Sigiriya Löwenfelsen und Pidurangala Felsen, das sind die wesentlichen Attribute in einem Satz. Das Hotel liegt quasi im Dschungel, der sich rund um Sigiriya erstreckt und direkt an einem See (nicht zum baden), an dem man z. B. Vögel beobachten kann. Die Zimmer sind Lodges, bieten innen viel Platz, haben bodentiefe Fenster in mehrere Richtungen, die den Blick auf die umgebende Natur freigeben. Ich habe an einem frühen Morgen einen über einen Meter langen Waran direkt vor unserem Zimmer gesehen. Neben dem großen Pool haben einige Zimmer noch einen eigenen Plunge Pool. Das Hotel hat ein eigenes Reisfeld und baut auch Gemüse an, das in der Küche verwertet wird. Entsprechend gut ist das Essen. Das Hotel ist eigentümergeführt und verfügt nur über wenige Zimmer. Die Eigentümerfamilie und das Personal waren immer um unser Wohl bemüht, entsprechend haben wir unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen!

Nous avons passé un moment exceptionnel au Sigiriya King's Resort. Le cadre est tout simplement magique, entouré de verdure et avec une vue imprenable sur les rochers de Sigiriya et Pidurangala. L'accueil chaleureux de Kalika et Preethika, ainsi que l'attention constante du personnel, ont rendu notre séjour encore plus spécial. Les chambres sont spacieuses, décorées avec goût, et certaines offrent même une piscine privée, un vrai luxe ! Mention spéciale à la cuisine : délicieuse, variée et adaptée à tous les régimes. Nous avons également adoré la proximité avec la nature – se réveiller au son des oiseaux ou apercevoir des éléphants au loin, c’est une expérience unique. Nous repartons reposés, émerveillés et avec une seule envie : revenir !

We are home from our amazing honeymoon in Sri Lanka now but even after everything we saw and experienced during our holiday, King's Resort lives large in our memory. From the moment we were welcomed after our long flight and transfer to the moment, everything was magical. We both enjoy getting out amongst nature and this was a perfect place to do that, with the beautiful view across the lake and benches where we sat and watched the sunrise. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the food - and the passion and care and knowledge that goes into every dish - made our introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine truly memorable. The local attractions are nearby, but King's Resort feels like it is in its own world and it was wonderful to feel so at one with nature. If you like tranquility and getting away from it all, and the idea of chilling out in a plunge pool looking out across a paddy field then this is definitely the place for you. This was a five star experience, no question.
