The hotel I was most looking forward to and the one that surprised me the most during my trip to Japan! I saw the reviews saying that the food was good, and I wanted to try it, so I booked it in advance. When we arrived at the hotel, someone came to greet us and helped us with our luggage. We checked in and arranged for dinner. At first, I thought we would eat in the room, but I didn’t expect to eat in the restaurant, but it didn’t matter. The restaurant is a private room. When we arrived, the appetizers were already placed, and then someone came to serve us. I ate one dish after another until I was full. It’s too much! Who said that Japanese people eat less! And it’s really cost-effective, and the taste is also very good. It’s been 2 hours since we finished eating. The breakfast is also very rich, and the grilled fish is also delicious. It’s still very good to experience Japanese breakfast! We booked a tatami room. I thought I had to make the bed myself, but they helped me make it after dinner. The service was really thoughtful. However, I have to complain that the hot water in the bathroom was not hot enough. I just took a shower and went upstairs to take a hot spring bath (the public bathing water in the hot spring is better, and everyone can go upstairs to take a shower). I personally recommend everyone to take an open-air hot spring bath. It is really easy to lack oxygen in the indoor one. It is so comfortable to stare at the sea view in the morning! I will stay in this hotel again if I have the chance! ! ! Finally, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off service. The timetable for going to the hotel is in the afternoon, and the time for going to Shimoda Station is in the morning. It seems that you need to make an appointment in advance, but it is still very convenient.

The hotel is right by the sea, and many people come here to surf. Although there are not many shops around, there is a shuttle bus to and from the station every half an hour. The service staff are very polite and smiling. It can be seen that it is an older hotel, but it is carefully maintained. Less than 600 per person per day, including two good meals, there is a hot spring, and the cost performance is very high.

All services are above 5 stars, and the price of two meals per stay is even more expensive. There are lobsters and abalone, which is really unexpected. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. I will definitely book this hotel again next time I go there.

The hotel is on the beach of Duoduohu. After taking a bus to Shimoda Station, I changed to a bus and then walked for a while. The hotel is on a hillside, so I climbed a small slope. It was a bit tiring to drag the suitcase. In fact, the hotel has a pick-up station, which means you have to start from the beginning, so next time you need to check in, you can refer to the picture below. The pick-up bus is parked next to Shimoda Bus Station. The room facilities are relatively old, but the hotel service is still quite good. The front desk staff explained very clearly on the day of check-in. The lobby and room views are very good, with unbeatable sea views. The hotel has an entrance to the beach, which is suitable for tourists who come to surf. At 5 am, there were people surfing in the sea. The hotel includes breakfast and dinner, which are very exquisite and the service is also in place. The hotel room is very large. Compared with the hotel in Yokohama, it is really too spacious and suitable for taking children on vacation.

Almost perfect. Except for the facilities being a little old, especially the bathroom, but with the beach one minute away + the large room + the amazing service experience, I will go back again. The first floor feels damp when passing by, so the upper floors are better. Don't miss the trail to the open-air hot spring on the top of the mountain. If you bring children, you must go to the sea aquarium. The taxi costs 1500 yen.

A beautiful location right beside the Pacific. A very well -designed modern hotel with the option of staying in traditional Ryokan - style rooms. Staff were all very well trained, helpful and friendly. A choice of western or traditional Japanese style dining. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The hotel has Onsen bathing on - site and a small outdoor pool plus a children’s pool. It’s a paradise for surfers.

On our 7th wedding anniversary, we splurged and booked at Yamatokan Inn, which we had been interested in every time we came to Tatadohama to surf. After thinking about many attractive plans, we decided to choose the plan with the newly renovated open-air bath in the room, because we wanted to eat a meal in the room and take a leisurely bath. This turned out to be a better deal than we expected. First of all, the room has a nice bath, so you can use it anytime! Check it out. We were blessed with good weather that day, and while watching the blue sky and surfers in the blue sea, we first went to the bath. The simple hot spring felt refreshing and the bath temperature was just right, so we could stay in for a long time. It was the best♪ The food was also delicious. The one-night special plan included sashimi with local fish, lobster sashimi, boiled golden-eyed snapper, and more. The room attendant and the staff we passed by all greeted us very pleasantly, and it was a wonderful trip that we were satisfied with in every way. This is one of the inns we would like to come back to. Thank you.

We went to Shimoda in Izu for our wedding anniversary. First of all, the beach was very beautiful, with an emerald green sea... We chose a Western-style room, but it seems to have been renovated and was a beautiful room! The view from the open-air bath was also amazing! You could see the ocean from the large public bath, and the sound of the waves was soothing. The beer after the bath was also exceptional!! The staff were all smiling and everyone said hello, so we had a very pleasant time. There were many young people, but everyone was really nice and I felt that they were properly trained. We were also happy to receive a commemorative gift! It was a memorable trip.
