Mahasu House

We spent our New Year's at this lovely property tucked away from the overcrowded Shimla with a lovely view of the hills. The place is good with excellent service and great food. They set up a bonfire for in-house guests at night, which we enjoyed in super cold December. My only complaint is that the rooms need refurbishment specially the beds and bathrooms other than the remaining furnishings which are now dated. Overall an excellent place to stay if you go in a group it can become like your own place with all the amenities.

Mahasu house is an exceptional place from all angles... be it food, location, hospitality or comfort. The ***ager and staff, be it Lalit, Narendra or the other guys were always checking on us and ensuring that we were comfortable. The food was exceptional. They even made some.typical himachali dishes which we loved. For kids there is a lot to do... an attic full of toys and games, a games area with billiards and karaoke set, and lots of area to run around. For grownups they have ample bonfire places and a gym. A very well located place to stay...away from the crazy crowd, yet close to a number of places to visit. Would recommend this to everyone. Also to add, the conversations with the owner was very friendly and nice. You will get a lot of history of the house in some of the coffee table books around the beautiful drawing room.

Mashobra is a great place to visit if you want to be in the hills but prefer a quieter place and want to avoid the traffic and crowds of Shimla. Mahasu House was a wonderful experience for us. The property is beautiful with great rooms and views. The flora in the property this time of the year was simply gorgeous! The staff and GM are very warm, friendly and very helpful. They helped us by guiding us to plan our outings. There are some beautiful forest treks that one must explore. The food was very good with a good variety of dishes, and they were happy to customise for the kids. They organised a wonderful bonfire and barbecue for us; the kids also had a good time in the play room with table tennis and other games. They also organised a lovely picnic lunch for us ***** with a forest walk at the Shimla Water Conservatory. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Visited with kids- owners of place are nice people and staff is very hospitable and warm. The food is nice homely food. Rooms are good size, clean hygienic place. They helped us for doing trekking as well. Recommend strongly for a good experience-

Very nice property with excellent ambience. Food was served as per our choice and was really good. Extremely cooperative staff. Quiet place for rejuvenating and relaxing for a perfect holiday with family and friends.

Fabulous boutique hotel, fantastic staff, our loft room was charming and spacious and the hosts Anil Walia and his daughter ***nat could not have been more welcoming or considerate. They helped us get comfortable during record snowstorms and were constantly available and solicitous. It was hill hospitality at its finest . we will always be grateful for the memories

One of the best properties I have ever visited. The property was clean and well maintained and the rooms were very cozy and comfortable. Staff was very sweet and attentive, giving us personalised attention throughout. The owners made sure to meet us and even helped us with our itenary. The food was excellent, home made style and very comforting. I will definitely be visiting again

The scenery around the property was breathtaking.. we are glad that we booked this property. The staff at the hotel was very hospitable. The food was awesome. The cleanliness was up to the standards. The amenities in the rooms were also very good.spacious rooms . Heating arrangements were very good. Hot water 24 hours. N last but not the least the owner of the hotel is a very young entrepreneur but extremely helpful and kind.we will definitely recommend this hotel friends and family. N would like to visit again.
