Horrible service. I'd booked a room for two adults and one child to be told that they didn't know about the child bed (even though I'd book for three and put it in my special request and had it all on the email confirmation) then to be told by the rude receptionist that it wasn't her problem and it was a room for two. Eventually we got an extra bed sorted. The pool was closed and we hadn't been informed. Generally awful service. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here

A lovely character building in a peaceful spot. Great to unwind. The pool really helped too. Food was lovey and reasonably priced

Had a great weekend here, staff very polite and friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, with ample supply of tea/coffee/sugars and milks. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna was clean and available to use by all residents. Food was lovely and hot and tasty. Would recommend here and will definitely be returning.

When I checked in went to the room there were no toilet roll in toilet TV was broken from side ,

Nice quiet place a bit tired , no lifts so a lot of stairs

The post code given on the hotel address did not lead us to the Hotel. It was difficult to find as it was inside an estate. The hotel is not close to the road. The sign at the road entrance is not very prominent. When arriving at the hotel, the building looks like a manor of some royalties which was quite impressive. Check in was smooth but there wasn't a lift and we had to haul our heavy luggage up a couple flight of stairs and through narrow corridors. No porters or conceige to help was a bit annoying. The breakfast was standard full english breakfast which was as expected. Lawn areas and many big trees around the hotel does provide a relaxing feel. There is a separate building that houses the pool and gym. This facility was not exclusive for hotel guest and open to people who join their club. Unfortunetely on the day of my stay, there were many people there and so I gave it a miss.

A lovely stay and loved the spa facilities. A few small bits I found disappointing like the tv remote wouldn’t turn the tv on so had to be turned on manually, and the shower pressure was lower than I would have liked but otherwise a lovely stay.

A lovely old building, in a nice setting. Stayed in a family room for two nights to attend a nearby wedding. The decor is very tired, and in need of an upgrade, but it was clean and did the job. Nice full English included. Staff very friendly and helpful. And the price is excellent. So would recommend.

No lifts so not ideal for those that are not so able to walk up steps into reception or stairs to rooms

Booked for leisure facilities - dirty and long overdue a deep clean. Also booked because they offer free room upgrades to Gold members. I booked the room on the app with two tiers of upgrades available and checked in 25 mins later on a Friday evening. I asked for the upgrade, was told they had none available, so challenged this. Receptionist then went on the computer whilst I tried to log on to the Wi-Fi as out of reception and when I refreshed the page, the upgrades were no longer showing on the app…. Dated rooms. Creaking floors in old building. Wouldn’t serve us dinner as ‘fully booked’ but only two extra covers and arrived about 6:30pm. Fortunately we had a lovely dinner out

First room was dirty, toilet hadn't been cleaned. Remains of last person opening their bowls on inside of toilet. Second room dirty. Bed was uncomfortable, dipped in middle and you could feel the springs. Worst hotel ive ever stayed in.

We had a very nice stay for one night. We would definitely come again. The breakfast was excellent, relaxed, with very good service. The room was a little bit tired and the lighting somewhat too dim for our elderly eyes. And the TV remote could not make the TV work so we resorted to the buttons on the base of the screen. The sky box was fine.

The staff were amazing. They were friendly and understanding and did go out thier way to cater for our needs. Definitely recommend the hotel.
