Ulasan JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen Bao'an

My stay at the JW Marriot Baoan Hotel was magical from the moment we arrived for our one-night by the Front Desk Grace Peng who greeted and welcomed us with warm smile which make the check in process pleasant. The Room was very clean and was exactly what was shown in the websites. The hotel is located next to a mall where there are a lot of restaurants and entertainments for family. The Executive lounge is Awesome. They have very nice selection of food and drinks. The Executive lounge staff Leah, Lynee and Talita were very attentive to our needs and provided an excellent service. I would like to thank JW Marriot Baoan Hotel and their staff Grace Peng, Leah, Lynee and Talita for an exceptional service that made us feel right at home.

the buffet is just ok not so special. Probably will skip next time

The little tent in the room was lovely for kids to play. The view was good towards the sea.

Hotel location is good, close to 歡樂港灣. My package included breakfast and dinner. For dinner buffet, more refill (e.g. 椰青) would be better.

The hotel is located at an convenient location to the competition venue yet it has big shopping malls and some other attractions nearby! We stayed at the room with the ferry wheel view and with access to the executive lounge. The lounge serves a variety of food which both of my son and I feel worth a visit!

Our suite was exceptionally big, much more than we needed for our short stay, but we could have done with a couple more rubbish bins-- thought it was very strange that we did not have a bin in the main bathroom and second toilet! We had called ahead to ask for arrangements for my daughter's birthday and while the decorations were in place when we arrived, we had to chase up on the cake, which sadly ruined the surprise a little.

This is a five-star hotel with a very good experience. I will go back in the near future to enjoy a wonderful stay.

Thank you for the StayCation. Front Desk Reception staff very kind. Ray and the other ladies were efficient and friendly. The room service and restaurant staff very good. The lounge makes a great chocolate martini, though it should stay open until midnight at least so the after-show attendees from the opera house can peruse and have a nightcap. Went to Shark in OhBay, which is across the street. Lovely views, even on an overcast day. The Ferris wheel stays lit until late. Cancelled my spa facial because of weather congestion, but happy the hotel is smoke-free! I do feel out of season that rates can go down just a bit. I decided not to swim, but the hotel is beautiful to walk around. Thank you Ray for arranging to KuDi my bag to the apartment. This allowed me to trek the Bay Area and shop at the nearby mall just a kilometer away. Cheers from the local expat. Bao’an is a far trek, and I will only stay at two hotels there. JW Marriot and CitiGo if just a night out.

Executive lounge - Staff must ensure all tables are cleared and cleaned quickly. When I entered the lounge at 6pm, there were 3 tables which still had food, plates, glasses etc on them from guests who attended afternoon tea, which finishes at 5pm. I appreciate staff are stretched at times, but clearing tables must be a priority. Breakfast - food choice and quality is inconsistent. Furthermore, guests are vaping indoors and staff do not say anything. Not impressed. Swimming changing room - I was shocked and disgusted. There is a sign as you enter, which asks any guest who may have a health issue or indeed a STD not to swim. This is acceptable. What is completely unacceptable is that men were using the plunge pools, sauna and steam room, located in the changing room, for easily over one hour completely naked. I couldn't use these facilities due to this. There were two guests in particular, walking about naked with their phones and using the facilities. This is a health and safety breach. Not to mention, that it should be forbidden when Children use this area too. In any hotel, absolutely no person should be allowed to use any pool, sauna, steam room whilst naked. It is dreadful hygiene. Bedrooms - I was impressed by cleaning staff and comfort and amenities of the bedroom. Security - I appreciate having lived in China for over four years, it is relatively safe. However, I expect a five star hotel to never assume this and ensure guests feel safe at all times. I returned to the hotel at midnight and I was concerned to see a member of the public loiter in the lobby and follow me when going to the elevator. When entering elevator, you swipe your card to access the floor bedroom is located. The stranger did not have a card. When I exited the elevator, he did too and was wandering around the hallway. I used the phone beside the elevator to report this but I was shocked when the staff member I spoke with did not seem concerned. I had to request several times that he come to my floor to investigate. This is a major security breach. I felt very uncomfortable and staff were not concerned by this. There are people in every country who wish to harm others or do something bad. This should not be allowed to happen. Under no circumstance, should anyone (unaccompanied by a guest) be allowed to wander the same floors where guests sleep. Overall, I must question the ability of the General Manager. It is clear that staff are either not being trained properly or indeed need lack motivation to undertake their jobs successfully.

The hotel upgraded my room to junior suit which was so big with very nice sea views 😍😍😍
