Good service and nice room

Arrived at 11.30 to check in having paid for early check in (from 11.00) and a twin room. Automatic check in machines not working and no staff on reception. When somebody finally appeared no twin rooms were ready so had to wait until 12.30 before we could check in. Dreadful service

Always come back to this hotel each year, lovely staff and very convenient for Sheffield attractions. Coffee machine and a fridge are now an absolute prerequisite for any stay I have in any hotel. Parking in the Heartshead is convenient although like all municipal parking it isn't the cheapest.

I stayed at this premier inn for several weeks for work reasons, and the hotel is well placed within the city. I parked at a local car park that is not detailed on their webpage (Workhouse Lane Car Park, S3 8PH) that costs £7.85 per 24 hours (payable by cash or app). This car park is located next to the combined court centre, and is a short walk from the hotel - although, up a short incline. The hotel is relatively clean, and the restaurant is lovely. The staff are warm and welcoming, and I’d give the staff a 5* review. The only negative would be the street noise, but this is a minor point. The windows can be sealed to block out the noise, and all rooms have air con.

The bed was so comfortable, I want one of those mattresses at home. I slept really well and was impressed. The location for access to The City Hall was fantastic, easy walking distance. The room was a good size and really clean. We didn't like the toilet roll in the bathroom as it was individual tissues from a dispenser and would have preferred a proper roll. The room was a little warm but opening the window helped. Might be an issue in the height of summer though, as the climate control in our room appeared to do nothing to the room temperature. Overall a good stay and would definitely use again. I keep thinking about how comfortable the bed was, the best in any hotel I have stayed.
