Hotel dekat Zhongdian Sutra Depository Scenic Spot, Shangri-La

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming hotel located right in the heart of the ancient town. The location is unbeatable, with everything within walking distance, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. What truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality of the owner family. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even helping us with our heavy luggages. One of the highlights of our trip was when they personally drove us around the city! As a group of five, we struggled to find a taxi big enough to accommodate us, but the owners stepped in and made sure we didn’t miss out on seeing the best parts of the city. They also gave us fantastic recommendations, including a fun and engaging cultural show that we thoroughly enjoyed, as well as some amazing local restaurants that we wouldn’t have found on our own. The owner family’s warmth and genuine care for their guests truly set this hotel apart. If I could give them ten stars, I absolutely would—they deserve every single one! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and heartwarming stay. We can’t wait to come back!

This quaint Tibetan-style inn is right next to the big prayer wheel. It has an independent glass observation deck, which is very comfortable. It is also located in the center of the ancient city, making it very convenient for visiting the ancient city. Because you can't drive into the ancient city, the hotel also has a special luggage pick-up service, the service is still very good, highly recommended

The location is good, however it can be a bit noisy due to the opposite cafe shop. Overall it is clean. The plug position is just right situated on where we put our pillow to sleep. You will need to use this plug in order to enable the bed warmer. So the location is weird as your head tend to knock on the plug. And if you use it to charge your phone, it will be a bit not safe. Toilet floor can be very slippery so please be careful.

We are in a group of 6. the host is amazing, helped out with how to used the oxygen machine with essential for our elderly. We all had the room with fantastic view and the top roof view was majestic 🙏🙏🙏 we have been the most welcome and relaxing stay. the host was always be there to helped if you were need it. Special thanks for pick up from the north gate and also drop off this morning to catch our early train. Your kindness and helpful is definitely we will back to stay with you again. .

This homestay is the best! Very recommended 👌🏻 the host is very accommodating. The location is just perfect. It’s near to everything. There’s bed warmer and floor heater and the toilet comes with automatic bidet. There’s washing machine and even extra jackets that can be borrowed from the hotel as we undermine the cold in Shangrila the puffer jacket we borrowed really help us a lot with the cold. There’s pickup and dropoff service for free to and fro the Railway Station. The room that we book is really nice and the view is also nice. Please stay here if you come to Shangrila. You won’t regret it.

The hotel was to hard to find. But the hotel offer the good room to stay. The owners also very kind & helpful. The hotel area also very strategic, a lot of store nearby. Even the hotel near to Dukezong Ancient Town by walking.

The owner arranged for transport to pick us up from Shangrila train station and he waited by the main road to carry our luggages to the homestay. Honestly, if one is expecting a glamorous place, this isn't but it does give a quaint, homey, country vibe which we adored. It's located in Dukezong ancient city and touring the ancient city is a breeze. Dukezong is a hive of activity, plenty to see, eat and buy. There are communal dancing and performances at the city's several gathering squares. Let the music leads you.....

The room facilities are complete, and the owner also upgraded the room type for free. The hotel is in the ancient city, not far from the train station, which is quite convenient. I saw the big prayer wheel. The hotel is not far from here, and you can get there by walking around in the ancient city. The scenery of Shangri-La is great!

Wonderful stay in Shangri-La thanks to the hospit of Tavern Hostel. Very clean, comfortable bed (electric blanket too as pretty chilly at night). Nice hot communal showers and very good food cooked by the hosts. Super helpful staff too. Highly recommended for a stay in shangri la just wish I could have stayed longer

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming accommodation. The place is very near to the main road where the taxi can drop you off right at the doorstep. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Zhang Hui 张慧 and her husband who made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, providing helpful tips about the area and checking in to see if we needed anything. The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort. The rooms were  exceptionally cozy, spacious and  warm. We really appreciate the heated floor! Overall, our experience was nothing short of wonderful. This place truly has it all: a clean and comfortable room with skylight, a stunning courtyard and amazing hosts who really care about their guests. Can't wait to return for another stay!
