Naxi Yage Hotel

Lots of travellers only stay here for lunch, but id recommend staying over and enjoying a great breakfast the next morning before heading off on your trek. I advise to get someone to drop you off here as the walk there is a bit steep 😅 but great friendly staff, just a little busy. Definitely my fav stay doing the gorge trail. Very comfortable beds and clean space!

The guesthouse is very basic but the courtyard is amazing and the owners are friendly and welcoming. Best place to start the hike to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Recommended!!!

Naxi Family Guesthouse is a welcome stop on the Tiger Leaping Gorge trail. Many people stop here for lunch, because the food is known for being good. We decided to spend the night and take our time along the trail and we are glad we did.

The guest house was well located on the Tiger Leaping Gorge track. The food was good especially the oatmeal with banana. The service was good considering how busy they were. The facilities were ok could have done with more shampoo/conditioner.

LOVED Naxi's GH. It was the best run hotel at TLG. So I was staying in Shaxi and decided to bypass Lijiang (the usual starting point for those headed to TLG). From Shaxi I got a car to the ticket office for the gorge. There I arranged for Shaxi GH Grandpa to pick me up. He was very nice. helped me with my bags to the room and offered welcoming tea and walnuts. The room was soo nice. AND SOOOO CLEAN! WOW. VERY impressive. I was walking barefoot and normally I'll wash my feet because one can naturally expect some dust, but I was shocked to find my feet were dust-free. You can also feel that the room is very clean. No cobwebs in the corner, which being in the mountains I expect that, but they seem to pay close attention to all those details. The bed is cozy and felt quite new. The water pressure is good.Bathroom is spotless. Honestly, it will be the best decision you make to start your TLG hike at Naxi (after a great night of food and rest there). Wake up early, have the Omelet for breakfast, it's a Naxi-style omelet that is so delish, and you will be ready to take on TLG!

The location is at the start of the hike. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. The food and drink is great. As you'd expect the views are special. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic homestay on the Leaping Tiger Gorge trail! We started from beautiful Hutiaoxia town and didn't see a single person but a man and his horse until we reached the guest house. Nestled in stunning valley beneath the snow mountain it was an idyllic place to stay. The homestay itself is an old building (currently undergoing additions) in a quiet and peaceful villiage. The atmosphere seemed far nicer than other accommodation we passed later on the trail. The menu was comprehensive and the food was fresh with delicate flavour. The bed was large and comfortable and the linens and bathroom were spotless. We were treated very kindly and we felt very good staying here. Thank you Naxi guest house! :)

Location was great as a starting point of the Tiger Leaping Gorge trail. The communication and service were excellent. They helped us order a transfer from the airport, everything went smoothly and they even kept the kitchen open for us so that we could order dinner. The rooms were adequate and the food was satisfying. They are in the midst of adding about 20 more rooms to their property, so expect a little bit of noise if you want to stay and relax during the day. They siad that it should be completed by September 2024.
