Ulasan Oriental Riverside Hotel Shanghai (Shanghai International Convention Center)

River view of our hotel room is wonderful. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet. The food is so so. The only reason to justify the cost is the view. Right behind the hotel (go out of the lobby, turn right and turn the corner) is an running/biking trail. We took a nice stroll in the morning. Service of the hotel staff is generally good with a miss here and there. The hotel is 15 min walk to the nearest subway station. We tried to hail a taxi to the hotel which is difficult due to complicated road design around the subway exits. We ended up walking to hotel which was quite an exercise carrying two suitcases each.

Staff are very professional and yet hospitable like Lynn from Front Desk. I love staying in this hotel because of the view of The Bund by the river. Breakfast is delicious. Room is spacious, clean and i like it a lot.

The hotel is in an excellent location and breakfast has a wonderful view.

View of he city from the hotel window was the highlight of our stay. Staff was really nice and helpful. Gym could use some work though.

Truly great value for money. The service was amazing and the location too. They are currently doing construction but that didn’t really bother us. The room we had was on the second floor so we didn’t have a great view of the river. The breakfast was very nice. It is just a few minutes walk from amazing western restaurants that have a beautiful view of the river and the bund. The carpets aren’t 5 star clean, it has some stains. Will book again

Room was spacious and clean, breakfast also had good variety and was tasty. Located in the heart of the city too! Would recommend to visit.

I would have given the hotel 5 stars. However, there are a few issues that need to be addressed. The cleaning of the showers and the bathrooms need supervision for the tardiness of the cleaning. There are molds over a period of time that have not been cleaned and, therefore, a breathing ground for bacteria. The ac temperature could not be reduced despite attempts by very friendly housekeeping staff and a young lady from the reception. It was stuck at 29 degrees. Despite the setting being set at 20 deg. I had to eventually resort to an open door and a wet towel on my forehead. On the positive side, the staff are very friendly and try and be helpful within their ability, I was fortunate to be given a very early check-in and an upgrade to the executive floor. The room size, balcony, views, etc. was excellent. The location is excellent. The concierge team was very helpful. I would certainly recommend the hotel and stay again despite the minor issues. Long walk to the reception and the lifts. I assume that due to the refurbishment, it's a temporary arrangement. Excellent value for money.

Very good location and staffs. However perhaps due to some ongoing works, the walk to the rooms is quite a distance. However room is clean and the location is amazing.
