The Post Hotel

It was conveniently located near the station. The staff were very kind and I was able to stay there with peace of mind.

The hotel is very conveniently located just 1 minute away from the subway station. There is a convenience store downstairs and a food court within a 5-minute walk. Two bottles of mineral water and tea bags are provided in the room every day, but all the walls in the hotel room are mirrors, which does not feel very comfortable.

It is located in an alley in Jongno 3-ga, and the parking fee is 20,000 won on weekdays and 30,000 won on weekends. If you need parking, I recommend the nearby all-day parking fee of 20,000 won. They put a lot of effort into the shower area, and it was less noisy because there was a middle door. The bed was nice, and don't expect a window view. I couldn't find the snacks that were provided in other site reviews, and there is no lobby. I stayed on Saturday and checked out on Sunday, but what was surprising was that the check-in was at 8 p.m. I understand that they wanted to give you a large room, but the 8 p.m. check-in is embarrassing in the cold winter. I was surprised by the 30,000 won weekend parking fee and 8 p.m. check-in when I made a reservation in a hurry to stay with my family. It's a clean motel, but it says hotel, and the price is the price of a hotel. If the price is similar, I will look for a place near Gwanghwamun or Dongdaemun where I can check in at 2 p.m. I will never visit this accommodation again and I will not recommend it to anyone. And the front desk staff, whether family or staff, did not fit the hotel image at all and their kindness sounded like dirty words floating in the grease of the pork belly across the street.

This was my second stay, but I wanted to try the laundry service, which I hadn't used last time, so I stayed here for the last three nights of my trip. I went to the laundry as soon as I checked in, and the staff was working there, and when I told them I wanted to do my laundry, they explained it to me carefully. They accept credit cards, so I paid by card, but there was a change machine next to it, so it seems you can also use coins. I only wanted to do my laundry, so it was good that the washing machine and dryer were separated into upper and lower sections. Both seemed to be able to handle a fair amount of laundry, and they were clean and on the first floor of the hotel, so I could wait in my room while my laundry was being washed, which was very convenient and great. The room was clean, and the ondol was so hot that it was comfortable to stay here this season. If you're staying multiple nights, they'll do the cleaning for you if you remove the key, but I went out a little later each day, so I asked the front desk to do it for me. The staff were all friendly and greeted me, and when I checked in, they tried hard to explain things in English, so I said please in Korean and asked them to do it in Korean. The bathtub was next to the toilet, so the toilet got soaked when I took a shower, but I learned from my mistake on the first day and was able to use it without any problems from the second day onwards. However, you may need a little trick when taking a bath. That said, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided, as well as a hair dryer and curling iron. The sink is large and easy to use, and it was also great that the mirror was lit up. You can get a bath towel when you check in, but after that, even after cleaning, only small towels are replenished, so if you want one, you will need to go to the front desk to get one. The hotel's location is on a back street, so it may not be suitable for first-time visitors to Korea, but I'm familiar with Jongno, so it's not a problem considering the distance from the station.
