Ulasan Horison Ultima Semarang

We stayed during Ied Mubarak holiday for 4 days/3 nights in April 2025. We booked 2 connecting rooms for my family (4 persons). I chose this hotel because it has swimming pool and gym, we used to exercise daily. In fact, the gym was closed for long term maintenance. It should be declared and crossed out from the hotel facility so we noticed from beginning, not surprised on site. The rooms at a glance were ok but when we looked to the interior were lousy. The curtain, gordyn, and bed lamps, dirty and stained. My children room has no curtain, so direct sunshine and very hot during the day. The towel seemed already used for years. not soft, looks lousy and the color not pure white as normally hotel towel. Each room provided safety box but no function at all. if you see the direction on the safety box (see the photo), it supposed has red button inside the box but no button at all. The safety box used 4 battery. In my room has only 2 batteries out of 4 and already expired since March 2018. My children' room has 4 battery but also not functioned. the button numbers and keys cant be pressed so we cant keep important and valuable items inside it. The swimming pool were crowded and the water was dirty. the hotel supposed to overall cleaning to the pool due to holiday seasons but the water obviously dirty. The parking lot is low maintenance, dirty, and rubbish everwhere. the Horison Ultima was only 3 years old last December 2024 as I saw from the stickwerck at lobby. The hotel was Star Hotel and changed to Horison Ultima. The parking lot was narrow and limited. For location is ok, near Java Mall. good for morning walk. the hotel staffs were polite and fast response. the amenities for 4* hotel is good enough. the mini fridge in the room is ok as well as the Aircon. If I may advise the management, please take serious attention to the cleanliness and maintenance also room refurbishment to the lousy interior inside as top priority.

As one of the Hotel chain big names in Indonesia, Horison should have a better quality hotel. The hotel bed sheets was musty smell (sorry).

Horison Ultima Semarang is in a state of disrepair. Horison took over Star apartments, so it's much older than suggested, and apparently have done nothing to the building. The corridors and rooms were in a shocking state and the towels were threadbare and greyish (by the way, you'll need to use it at the pool as well because you only get one, which they may change, however, housekeeping is slow and forgot to initially leave any towels in the rooms). The room windows have a film on the outside, presumably to reflect the sun, unfortunately it was bubbling and made looking out impossible. The valet parking is very good, and necessary given the tight space of the parking lot. There is a mall next door which has some passable food options but a car is necessary to get to attractions or downtown. The rooftop infinity pool is the instagramable drawcard of the hotel. The view is excellent but, once again, the cleanliness of the pool and surrounds is poor. Stay elsewhere.

Pool was beautiful but it closes so early, when I try to swim at night after a long day of work it is not permitted Food was ok but some staff not able to communicate in english Overall location os good

The hotel rooms look very old.no maintenance, no hot water bathroom, shower not working properly.over all the hotel needs renovations.breakfast was very bad.it was not fresh at all. wouldn't advice anyone to stay in this hotel.

This place is good for stay. Recommended if you come to this city and stay at this hotel.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. The staffs incl. the valet assistants are very friendly and professional client oriented. Th situation of the hotel was perfect, not in the city center but close to it. Accessibility is also OK. This is my second time staying at this hotel.

It was a good moment to stay there, the food was good, but maybe need more concern with the cleanliness for curtains

Book with non smoking room, but when check in, the front office said there is no room more for non smoking room.

The location is very strategic, the staff were helpful & friendly as well. You could use the swimming pool at the top. Fyi the hotel kinda gives "old vibes". Unfortunately,they're gonna charge you for borrowing their utensils which is kinda a downer & personally it would be better to upgrade the lift as well, the button is kinda hard to press. The gym is closed too :( but overall the place is a good place to stay. Clean & cool AC.
