Casa 1800 Cerro Verde

The stay was nice. The staff are very friendly and accommodating specially the ones that work at the restaurant. We started in room 110 which had no hot water or blinds we were immediately moved the next day. Room 104 was so much better. Only issue I have is if you have noisy neighbors then you can hear everything. The views are spectacular and don’t for forgot to hike to a volcano. And do be aware of creepy crawlers like bugs and spiders but again this is nature. A refrigerator in the room would be nice. The grounds are well maintained. I would stay here again.

A stay at this wonderful hotel is unique experience. Highly recommend for the up -close views of the volcano. The restaurant here serves quality food and the menu provides many delicious options.

This is truly a unique setting. The property is nestled in a beautiful mountain forest and overlooks one of El Salvador's most iconic volcanoes, Izalco, "the lighthouse of the Pacific". The views are breathtaking especially at sunset. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks. The staff is friendly and very accomodating. This is a perfect place to stay if spending the days hiking the nearby volcanoes.

Staff is super friendly. The rooms are spacious and up to date. The views around the hotel are spectacular, overall a great experience!

I didn’t like this property because they don’t tell you that you cannot leave the property after 8 pm because the property is inside the park and that you cannot get out of the property before 8 am because the park is closed. So you are locked in between 8 pm and 8am so inconvenient! The restaurant food and staff was terrible. I don’t recommend this property to anyone.

Rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Large patio with comfortable seating and amazing views of the volcano. Bed is super comfy (pillows, not so great). Had lunch at the restaurant, cheap and delicious.

I booked this hotel to climb the volcanoes. There is basically no entry/exit from the park from 8pm till 8am, therefore it is extremely inconvenient to climb the volcanoes. I wanted to do a sunrise hike to Santa Ana. The hotel was kind enough to connect with me with a guide. I told the front desk various times I will leave around 3:50am for the sunrise hike and also left a to-go box in front desk fridge. I woke up at 3:30am, got my coffee, picked up my to-go-box from the front-desk and started driving to the trailhead where the guide wanted me to arrive at 4am... Only to learn that I cannot even exit the park until 8am, as the gates were closed. Unfortunately, the staff not telling me I cannot leave until 8am and also not having this information displayed in ******* (as of Feb 18th) lead to a very subpar experience for me. Not sure what happens if one needs to catch a morning flight or has an emergency health issue. You are basically stuck in the park between 8pm and 8am.

This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The rooms are fantastic, comfortable, clean. The bedding is perfect and allows a magnificent rest. The space is open, elegant, and the staff is always attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The views from the terrace are breathtaking, the food is excellent, the ambiance is romantic. My only regret is having stayed too few days. One recommendation is to offer a choice between an alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink upon arrival. The only availability of a frozen drink was too limited. I would also offer sweaters in the boutique store. They’d sell like hot cakes instantly. I hope to be back!

The property is stunning. It is clean and the views of the volcano are incredible! Absolutely breathtaking. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff great. Our waiter Francisco was so helpful and knowledgeable. This hotel is a must when in El Salvador .
