Lands in Love Hotel and Resort

This specific “ Hotel” was a worst experience ever.. poor sanitation facilities, front door didn’t lock ( so we can not leave any valuables in the room like passports) tv in the room didn’t have any signal its there for decoration only, rotten smell from the mattresses, no maintenance, sticky , dirty bedsheets, water in the shower floods, poor service, No AIC , wet and humid inside the rooms , It’s was a nightmare to stay there !!!

Lands in Love Vegan Resort was the highlight of my trip to Costa Rica. It is a very charming and quiet place with a great story. After an exhausting week in the hectic sprawl of San José, arriving at this serene, nature-surrounded retreat was exactly what I needed. Even before I arrived, the staff at Lands in Love were incredibly accommodating and helpful. They arranged transportation from San José to the resort and promptly answered all my logistical questions. When I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and hospitality that made me feel like I was coming home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable—whether by helping me choose adventure activities, serving delicious food, or providing guided tours of the property. The property itself is expansive and features many animals from the on-site sanctuary. It was heartwarming to see dogs being walked, ducks waddling across the road, and to spend time with a very friendly, chubby cat in the lobby. The other guests were also very friendly and it just felt like everyone here was happy. The food served throughout the day was fantastic, and I never got bored eating here three times a day. The menu offers dishes from various international cuisines, so there’s something for everyone. The portions were generous and satisfying. Even as a vegan establishment, the food was so convincingly authentic that I had to double-check! Even if you're not staying at the resort, it’s worth stopping by for lunch and visiting the animals on the property. Thank you to everyone at Lands in Love who made my stay in Costa Rica unforgettable. I’m already planning my next trip back!

My second visit here after being there in 2011. If you are looking for 5 5-star hotel - this is not the hotel to go to, but if you are young in your mind and looking for adventures this is one of the must-visit places in Costa Rica. The area is amazing - the middle of the jungle. This is a Vegan hotel with the best food I have ever eaten (Even if you eat meat - you will not miss it there - Thanks to Na'ama the chef and her team), a great crew that is always willing to help you, and great cause to save wounded and neglected pets!

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Lands in love is so much more than just a resort. It offers a friendly, approachable atmosphere with an incredible story. The food was insanely good (and I say this as a non vegan too!) All areas are so clean and fresh. Can't fault the staff in any way and the activity centre attached offers a range of amazing things to do for all ages. The animal rescue centre attached is such a bonus - the love and affection for the animals just radiates. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area

Lior Esh from ‘Lands in love’ planned our 3 weeks trip to Casta Rica . We had a great time and she accompanied us through the whole trip. The final point in our journey was’Lands in love’ . Great people and great place. The atmosphere was amazing and they were always willing to help. We also visited the animals shelter that they built and it was inspiring. Lands in Love: Vegan Eco-Resort in Costa Rican Rainforest Location: Lands in Love is situated in the Costa Rican cloud forest, offering stunning mountain and rainforest views. They have a vast property set in a valley which I loved exploring. Rooms: The rooms are very beautifully decorated and have all basic amenities including a coffee machine. The bed linen, wall art - everything is very aesthetic. They do lack an AC, which might be an issue for some during humid nights because you cannot open the windows as that will invite the bugs and insects inside your room. But they have fans and Costa Rica weather was generally cool and airy during our stay. Food: The resort offers a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options alongside local cuisine. Everything is made fresh on-site, with a menu including mock meats, pizzas, and traditional dishes. The restaurant is open to the public. Activities: Lands in Love has an adventure center with ziplining, rappelling, ATV rides, and hiking trails. They also have a large forest area within the resort as well as a pond for birdwatching. I spotted many birds right from the outside of my room. Unique Feature: The resort runs a no-kill animal rescue center for over 1700 animals. Guests can expect some noise from barking dogs but can also volunteer to walk dogs or feed horses which I enjoyed doing. Overall: Lands in Love is a great choice for eco-tourists and animal lovers who love to stay in serene surroundings and prefer vegan cuisine.
