Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria – All Inclusive

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. This was our second visit, having previously been in April 2023, 10 days after it opened. I couldn’t leave a review of that stay, as I was an employee of the company in the UK at the time, but this time around I have no affiliation and the teething problems of being a newly opened hotel are definitely a thing of the past! Every member of the team are incredibly friendly and do their utmost to make you feel welcome and cared for. The rooms are immaculate and the food offering is impeccable. I particularly loved the wok station, where you could plate your own ingredients and then the chef cooked it to perfection for you. The hotel is located right on San Agustin beach with a gate onto the beach itself, where you can take a walk all the way down to Playa del Inges and the Maspalomas dunes. Alternatively, the centre of Playa del Ingles is less than €10 in a taxi if you fancy a night out, although the in-house entertainment in Vibra is top notch. The 80’s band and Rock band, in particular. We chose to book The Reserve as we like to take advantage of an adults only section, if possible, and it did not disappoint. The pool area allows for pure relaxation and the staff there are incredible. Already looking forward to our next visit in October. Thank you for an amazing week!

This is an incredible hotel. It absolutely deserves its 5* rating, the hotel buildings are stunning, the grounds beautiful and to top it all, the staff are absolutely brilliant. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly and always looking for ways to make our experience more enjoyable. The location, right on the beach front is perfect for walks along the sand or a dip in the sea to cool off… mind you, there are 4 beautiful pools where you can also do that.. They seem to perfectly balance adults, families, romantic breaks, more exclusive breaks all in the same hotel. It really is brilliant and I would return without hesitation.

We booked for a week in a premium Double room. We were very impressed when we arrived. The reception staff are lovely and very helpful. Our room was wonderful, modern, very clean. The decor of the hotel was minimalistic, contemporary and always spotless including the outside areas. The main food hall has a great selection of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we ate there a lot of the time as our 6 year old is quite fussy. The only downside is the drinks service, it can be very slow or when the drinks eventually arrive it’s the wrong order. It got to be a bit of a joke in the end (not in a funny way) they need more staff in this area. The ginger bar was lovely with great cocktails and little snacks for kids that they could help themselves too. Service can be a little hit and miss here too but overall ok. The kids club and splash park was most enjoyable for our child with lots of activities throughout the day and evening. The snack shack was great, food was quick, hot and delicious, the service here was top notch especially from a lovely staff member called Sara. You are able together fresh beach towels every day from round the pool area, the pools are a little chilly but once you get in it’s fine. When we arrive the reception team told us to download the Meliá app so that we could book ourselves into some of the other restaurants unfortunately, when we tried to do this they only had really late availability left or no availability. As we have a small child eating at 9.30pm wasn’t an option for us. We did try out the Kanna restaurant which wasn’t that great slow service once again, over cooked and wrong drinks order arrived. The restaurant was half full, so I can’t say it was because they were rush off their feet. One morning I tried to order room service through the app and it never materialised, waited 2 hours. Had to go to reception to cancel the charge to my card. Overall this is a wonderful resort, just a few teething issues to resolve

We stayed at Paradiscus Meliá Grand Canaria for 5 days in January 2024. The hotel is beautifully designed and set in mature landscaped gardens right next to the beach. From the moment we checked in everyone was helpful and friendly and we were so impressed with our room (339) It was spotlessly clean with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the mountains. The beds were so comfortable and the housekeeping staff were on hand several times a day to clean/tidy and make sure everything was perfect. The food and drinks were delicious - in particular the Gastro Hall and Kanna - thank you to Christina for fitting us in for a last minute lunch! The shack by the pool was perfect for light snacks and drinks through the day. I had a wonderful outdoor yoga class with Isabel and Andre helped us to book into a star gazing evening - the hotel has its own small observatory which was the icing on the cake! We also had an outdoor movie night complete with popcorn and warm blankets. We will definitely be back soon - such a wonderful holiday. Thank you!

This was our second stay at the Paradisus and it felt like we were coming home! As soon as you walk into reception there is a sense of calm. The staff are so welcoming and it was lovely to see the same happy faces. They are genuinely interested in making every guest happy and nothing is too much trouble. The Reserve gives you a separate priority check-in, adult only pool, choice of à la carte breakfast and a spacious lounge where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks all day. The hotel and grounds are immaculate and our premium room was spacious with a super-comfortable bed, marshmallow pillows, walk-in rain shower, bath and lovely toiletries! Every meal was delicious with lots of choice throughout our stay. Peseta is still a highlight and definitely worth booking. Thank you to Jorge, Daniel, Victoria, Cynthia, Javier, Sara and all the other staff for making our second stay so special. Hopefully we will be back soon!

This hotel is amazing! From the moment you walk in there is a feeling of calm. The decor is immaculate and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable - huge bed, comfy seating area, and the toiletries are lovely. We were on an all inclusive holiday and the food in all of the restaurants was of a very high standard - The buffet is top notch with items cooked to order, although this did get quite busy even though the hotel was not at capacity. All of the drinks and cocktails were well made with premium brands. The pool areas are lovely with very comfortable sun beds. Javi in the Ginger Cafe looked after us so well and was always ready with a coffee first thing in the morning! Petra was also extremely helpful with local knowledge and recommendations. The outside movie night was great - it is such a beautiful setting to sit under the stars and watch a film. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing break. The only very slight negative was the cost of late checkout and room upgrades - both of which seemed expensive for a hotel which does not cut any corners on giving their all inclusive guests such a luxury experience - Late check out was 20 Euros an hour, and to upgrade to a sea view room was 350 Euros for the week - we decided against this and it did not affect our stay one bit, but include these in your calculations if these things are important to you.

First full day was great, Pedro at The Shack was super welcoming and super efficient supplying drinks and food Jonathan at Ginger similarly was on target when we retired from the pool area for light refreshments before dinner Christian Ortiz at Ginger also does the best bespoke cocktails for adults and non-alc for U18s :)

Fabulous and lavish! The melia group in Gran Canaria is simply fabulous. The place is paradise and the staff and facilities are simply the best. I’d recommend to get a better room on the 6th or 7th floor with sea views, it really is worth it. Being vegetarian we did have limited options, however we spoke to the hotel manager who discussed this with his team and they all made an effort to provide us with more options. We are very grateful as we were treated like royalty once we addressed our concerns. The manager George (Horro in Spanish) was amazing, he did everything he could to make our stay outstanding- thank you.
