We arrived at the hotel at about 13:00. The front desk said that the room was ready for check-in and gave us a room on the first floor (Room 101). After entering the room, we felt that the floor was too low, so we asked if we could change to a higher floor. The front desk said that there was a room upstairs and we needed to wait for 2 hours to clean it up or pay extra to choose another room type. We returned to the room in the principle of avoiding trouble. At this time, my husband suddenly found that our room had no balcony, and we booked a Junior Suite view on the Ctrip platform. The picture showed that it had a balcony! And the area was also larger! After we compared it, we found that the Room 101 given to us was not the room type we booked, nor was it in the pictures of the room type on the official website or any platform, so we continued to communicate with the front desk. She said that they were all the same, some had balconies and some did not. I said that we booked the Junior Suite view because we saw the picture had a balcony. After the communication, we chose to wait for 2 hours, and the front desk said to change us to a room with a balcony. Then we were outside until 17:00 and came back to check in. We found that the changed room (Room 311) was indeed larger than the previous one, but there was still no balcony. But we don't want to bother anymore. The things that made me dissatisfied with this stay are: 1. The room type reserved for us at the beginning was not the room type we booked. The front desk also admitted that Room 101 was smaller. After we communicated, we said that we wanted a balcony. The front desk asked us to wait for 2 hours for the room with a balcony to be cleaned up, but in the end the room still had no balcony. I checked through booking and Ctrip, and there were 5 Junior Suite views left that day, and there was no problem of tight supply. 2. When we first entered the room, we were given afternoon tea snacks, Sacher cake and chocolate, but we immediately asked to change rooms and they were not moved. I thought they would be put in the room we changed, but they disappeared directly... Yes, they disappeared. We said before we changed rooms that the snacks were not moved! They were gone directly. 3. When we left, we had suitcases, 2 backpacks and 1 handbag, and the staff did not help with the luggage, and even did not open the hotel door for us... In short, this stay was not pleasant.

This is a very old-money style hotel with a very special atmosphere. The breakfast is very high-end. This hotel is in the city center and there are many attractions around it. I must stay there again next time.

The hotel is in an excellent location, just 100 meters away from Mirabell Gardens and Mozart's former residence. The staff speaks fluent English and is very enthusiastic. They greet everyone politely. The room is not big but very exquisite. The details are well decorated. I ordered room service for breakfast, which is cheaper than the hotel breakfast!

The hotel is next to the Salzach River, and the environment, location and service are all first-class. Next door is Karajan's birthplace, and all attractions are within a 15-minute walk, which is very convenient. The hotel breakfast and overall service feel better than Vienna. This hotel is the best part of the 7-day trip to Austria. The bartender at the bar is also very friendly. Hotel Sacher is famous in Austria. When I was doing guides before, I saw more of Sacher in Vienna. Less about Salzburg. She knew that I was Chinese and chatted with me in simple Chinese. She said that she had studied Chinese for a year, but she almost gave it back to the teacher😂. After check-in, he personally took me to the room and told me that the cake could be purchased from the store downstairs or ordered at the café for afternoon tea. As for the taste of the cake, I am a heavy chocolate dessert lover and I like it (the cream on the side can relieve the greasiness). It should be noted that the hotel will provide an afternoon tea and two sacher cakes in the afternoon [laughing R]. In the morning, I felt that the single buffet was a bit expensive, so I chose room service for more than half the price, and the result was amazing. The coffee comes directly from the pot, and the brewed taste is really strong. Not to mention the yogurt jam, it is my favorite every time I go to Europe. It is really good to have breakfast facing the window, and it does not affect my mood on rainy days. The hotel's corridors and room layout are very unique, and each room is different. All in all, this sacher is really good if Salzburg occasionally gets corrupted.

I asked the front desk to see if there are spare medicines, and was told that there is a pharmacy that is not closed. There are several waitresses at breakfast who are not very enthusiastic. The breakfast is very rich.

The best hotel in Austria, the service and dining are great. Western restaurants need to be booked in advance. Recommend this hotel
