High cost performance, attractive appearance, delicious breakfast, good location of scenic river, can be taken by bus to Central Station

On a very positive note, the breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of choices available, which made for a great start to the day. However, the experience with the check-in staff was extremely disappointing and frankly, quite a culture shock. The level of professionalism and courtesy expected in a service role seemed to be severely lacking. This was a truly negative experience for me. Regarding the room itself, it was too small and lacked a sense of privacy.

The hotel was more conveniently located for public transportation (trolleybus) to Salzburg city center than I had expected. Many lines pass right in front of the hotel, and there is a large shopping mall and supermarket next door, where we could easily purchase groceries during our stay. Despite the hotel being very busy and crowded with guests, the staff at the reception desk and the breakfast restaurant were all friendly and attentive. The view from the hotel lobby was also very nice. One neutral point is that the hotel's entrance sign on Sterneckstrasse could be improved. We spent about two minutes walking around the building trying to find the entrance. Perhaps you could consider adding more signage or a clearer indication of where the entrance is? Unfortunately, I encountered some issues that overshadowed these positive aspects. Having had a very satisfying experience at a BW hotel in Bologna, Italy (which I hadn’t expected much from since it was just a one-night stay during a road trip, but everything from the breakfast to the bed and interior was fantastic), I had high expectations for this BW Plus hotel as well. Since I visited during a busy tourist season, I didn’t expect an early check-in and everything seemed fine until I entered the room in the evening. First, I found what appeared to be traces of a previous guest in the toilet—yes, a small spot of something brown. It was tiny, less than a quarter the size of a fingernail, but it was still noticeable. I have poor eyesight and often get scolded by my wife for not noticing things like this. I also noticed similar dried brown stains on the bathroom floor, which I assumed were the same thing. The showerhead had limescale and mold, which didn’t leave a good impression. These are issues that could be easily resolved with a bit of bleach, and I thought it would be nice if the housekeeping staff paid more attention to such details. The most disappointing thing was the pillow filling, which I’ll simply attach a photo of here. Many guests, especially those from Asia, praised the breakfast highly in Google reviews, so I had some expectations. However, having stayed at many hotels in Europe, I didn’t find it particularly special. In terms of taste, I would rate it around 70-80 out of 100. (To be specific, I would compare it to breakfast at other four-star hotels like the Grand Hotel International Prague or the Holiday Inn City in Düsseldorf) In conclusion, despite these issues, I still want to give the hotel a 4-star rating. This is because I was able to book a room just two weeks before my trip for a rate of around 150 euros per night, which is quite reasonable during peak season in this area. I am confident that with a little more attention to cleanliness and room hygiene, this hotel could quickly improve its customer satisfaction. Despite the concerns about hygiene, I was overall satisfied with my stay at this hotel. This review is written not as a criticism but as a form of encouragement. The hotel is great but a bit far from central. The staffs are very friendly n courteous. They always wish u with a warm smile. One of the receptionist Ms Inna is very very helpful n kind. My hubby left his hp in a Uber n she help us to contact the uber , act as translator for us all the way n got our hp back. I would say their service is excellent n superb. I would definately come back again ..one more thing, the bathroom is very open, not very suitable if staying with kids.

The hotel was near public transportation and an easy walk to the old town and there was a mall with a grocery store across the street. It wasn’t bad place but the staff wasn’t very friendly and I saw one of them making faces after a customer asked a question. I checked in and was given a room but when I went to the room it was still being cleaned. Overall my stay was okay but these little things made it less comfortable.

Hotel location is quite convenient within walking distance from metro. There is a bus stop near the hotel too. The main entrance is slightly away from the main road so actually not easy to spot. We checked in quite late and there is no one at the counter which we find it a bit unusual though we could hear someone talking. Overall the staff is fine, willing to explain where we could go for sightseeing, which bus stop has the ticket machine, even suggest us to buy a 24hr ticket so we saved the hassle to keep buy bus/metro tickets.

Great location, clean and good value for money

The hotel didn't full fill contract. I booked for three day first day it was cold in room no central heftig. 2nd day it was ok 3rd day all day very cold . I left hotel 11 pm . And went to hotel dorint in salzburg. I lost money because hotel save on heater so you leave the hotel and leave the breakfast money with hotel no refund. I booked with trip.com they misguide i was told by trip.com supllier did not refund unlauter Wettbewerb. If i book through make my trip these things never help . I will like to say it is my first time expertence that i have seen dirty cold and stinkig room. Toilet wetter was running all the night noice you can not sleep. In bathroom shower is not working .you can not take bath. Hotel save money shut down the heater . So you stay in cold . Out of cold you leave the hotel so you loose double no refund for stay as well no return for breakfast which you paid in advance . This is not an Austrian standard

A little outside of city center but a train station was short walk away. Room was nice and clean.

It is decent hotel but could have been cleaned better. It is good for quick trip and stay closer to city
