Hotel Cardinal

The residence is simple and lacking fanfare, but the location is spectacular. The magnificent cathedral at the door takes your breath away. Everything in the medieval centre is an easy walk away. So much to see. The room is simple but large. No bar fridge. Need to be patient as the reception is not always attended to.

Wonderful location. Very nice accomdation. Only caveat is the difficulty getting our luggage from our car to the hotel as there is no real parking for the hotel (it's located on the central cathedral plaza). Maybe the hotel could figure out a way to accomodate travelers with luggage and let them know in advance what their options are?

This hotel is centrally located, right next to the Cathedral, but that is the only thing it has going for it. It is not accessible by car- which nobody tells you- and nobody picked up the phone when we called several times for assistance. The room was large but very basically furnished. No coffee or tea, not even a bottle of water! The doors were closed when we arrived and we had to call another phone number to gain admittance. There was no electricity in our room the first night and nobody answered any of the available phone numbers to assist us. We had to go looking for someone to assist us to restore electricity to our room. There was no a/c or fan in our room, which meant we had to sleep with our windows open. The area is quite noisy till late at night, so that was not restful. In the 2 days we stayed there, there was nobody at the reception at any time. At €200 per night, one expects better service than this nonsense. Our complaints fell on shrugs and deaf ears. Extremely poor service and terrible value for money. Never again will we stay here.
