Sandals Emerald Bay - All Inclusive Couples Only

The location is great. Only the service room was too much invasive, But the beachweas great and good food

First thing I will say is that the staff here was amazing and blew away any other Sandals experience I've had. Special thanks to Richard their Golf Club Pro for his hospitality and welcoming us for a tour. With that said, this place is in major need of a renovation and more staff. Everything is makeshift and just falling apart at the seams. It is a shell of what is once was, and it's sad that guests are paying a premium for this resort. I made a request on the Gina app to have our shower cleaned of black mold the first day and it was done, but that shouldn't be something a guest has to deal with. We also had to request luggage racks and slippers that weren't in the rooms. We had two bedside lamps that kept shorting out and the lightbulbs didn't stay in them. The mirrors were so old and marked up, floors very dirty, main door didn't shut properly, and we had shower issues with the water. 5* luxury, NO. We didn't get any turn down until night 5, after asking several times we did the last two nights. The main pool has the swim-up bar, that has the left side of the bar totally broken off and one large main tile in the pool floor missing that is dangerous. The jetted pools no longer work. The quiet pool was being heated and it took four days for someone to finally take a look and realize it was 93 degrees when it was 98 degrees outside, so no one was using it. The one thing about the brand that always stands out to me is lack of service around the pool & beach in comparison to others in the same price point. It just makes such a difference on a service level. I also miss decent wine and any selection of Rose Wine-- I bought a bottle one night, but it was outrageously priced. The beach is nice, but the loungers are old, broken and extremely uncomfortable. I wish they kept up with the sand and kept it clean, it's so dirty and full of trash. Overall, the food was good. We really enjoyed the a la carte Breakfast and Lunch at the Bahama Bay bar for salads and pizza. Barefoot was the best meal of the week, followed by the Soy and Italian. The evenings are mostly chill here, it's a shame the same person who is serving you drinks at Breakfast is closing down the late-night bar - the staff was certainly overworked and unfortunate because we felt many nights they were closing down bars' way to early. The coffee shop was good but heard complaints from staff that they haven't had their working machines for over two months, so things get very backed up. Airport transfers were smooth and convenient. We met some lovely people through the stay and made some new friends on the islands that we hope to visit again one day. I do hope this resort invests some money and makes this place look like deserves. Cheers to Tonya (server) who took excellent care of us all week.

My husband and I visited SEB for the fifth time last week and were not disappointed. Rich, the golf pro, was wonderful. We enjoyed dining with him during the returning guest dinner. Maurice always had our golf bags loaded and our cart was waiting for us each morning for our tee time. We make sure to see Heston in the piano bar multiple times when we visit. He plays a fantastic variety of sing-a-long songs, is very interactive and set the bar for piano bars for us. Most impressive was Samson remembering us from our previous visit in December of 2021 when he was out butler even though he wasn't our butler this trip. He remembered us, our favorite drinks, preferred pool chairs and tee times. That was truly impressive! The ocean water is amazing. The bluest I've ever seen. We love to get our feet in the sand and spend time riding the waves. The main pool was a bit chilly this time as it was a bit windy the first few days we were there. The extra breeze helped to keep the sand flees at bay. We had a fantastic trip and can't wait for our next visit!

Enjoyed the entertainment . Jamie the singer and Tomeko the dancer were so talented. We enjoyed playing bocce with them too. They did an amazing job Keeping us busy on our vacation. I would definitely recommend coming to the beautiful Sandals Emerald Bay

This was the best vacation I have ever had! Words can't describe the beauty of Exuma! Everything at Sandals was perfect!

We're here now. First we are well traveled around the world and have always said that the Bahamian beaches and waters are underrated. We have boated through the Exuma Cays many times scuba diving and have stayed on many of the Cays so we have already experienced the adventures that visitors here are visiting for. That being said, we are just here for a relaxing celebration of our 50th anniversary. This resort does not have the prettiest of beaches or the most luxurious accommodations, however they are more than adequate for our needs. The beach is well groomed white Bahamian sand. The accommodations are tired but you will find that throughout the Bahamas. This is not the Atlantis but I would never stay in the ostentatious hotels of New Providence ever again. Low keyed and quiet with an exceptional staff and amazing well kept grounds. Sandals hit a home run here. We're snobs when it comes to diving and golf so we won't comment on those activities. What makes this place a four bagger is the Butler service. Garth, Arielle and Waldens made our 50th anniversary special. Attentive, friendly and fun they cater to our needs and desires. Anyone who says that the Butler service is not necessary is correct but sadly the experience made us feel special. Expensive, not really but I understand that it could be for those trying to enjoy a once a year getaway. Travel throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas is expensive. The food is not for foodies but the choices are numerous even though not all restaurants are open every night. We have only been to 2 other Sandals, Montego Bay 40 years ago and Antigua 20 years ago. Sandals has upped their game since then and we highly recommend this location.

The food at all restaurants was wonderful ,always fresh , resort was very clean . The golf corse was world class , the pro there was very friendly n helpful.

The only reason I am giving this resort a 2 star review is due to the fact that I had a makeup bag stolen from our hotel room, and there has been zero response from Sandals for closing in on a month. This was our honeymoon (Monday through the following Tuesday - 8 nights), and this was not a cheap vacation in the least. We noticed the makeup bag was missing on Friday when we got back to our hotel room to get ready for the evening (my makeup items never leave the bathroom and they were in a designated spot to stay organized), then proceeded to file a report with one of the security team members on Friday (4 days into our honeymoon). He was a very nice man who took the time to write down the report in detail, which we were thankful for. However, we were told we would hear back from someone in 24 hours. Well, 24 turned into 48, and 48 turned into 72, and then we had to leave to go home.. Another security team member met with us one hour before we had to leave the hotel on Tuesday and said that we would hear back within the month, and it is now June 1st and STILL nothing. They said they would check security cameras, run reviews through management, do their investigation, etc. and I know that doesn’t take an entire month to perform for something such as this. Given how much money my new husband and I spent to go there, it is entirely disappointing that I not only had to buy all new items when I got back from our honeymoon, but the fact that Sandals has done absolutely nothing to make it right. Advice to women traveling here, lock up your makeup bag in the safe because this resort will do NOTHING to compensate you if you have the unfortunate experience of being robbed of your personal items. This hotel chain makes millions in revenue and can’t even compensate us in ANY way for stolen property? We have been very nice as to the handling of this situation, and now we are downright irritated since it is clearly not being handled at all, hence this review. I had even sent the Sandals Rewards Team a message on the app, and still crickets. What kind of business is this?? Please note that we do not fault the concierge or the man from the security helping us to file the report because they were simply doing their jobs/going through the steps necessary to aid our situation, but we 100% fault the Sandals organization for not doing a THING to make this right for us in any way.

Most Sandals resorts are similar in a lot of regards but there are some key differences. Some are party places, some are quieter. Unlike its place in Nassau this is very much the latter which, for us, is exactly what we wanted. The resort is huge and beautiful, compared with the Nassau one which feels cramped with no space. The beach is huge and uncrowded and the sea lovely to look at. It was quite windy while we were there so we never actually made it into the sea. The service was top notch and our butlers looked after us perfectly. All but one member of staff was a joy to be about. Unfortunately the main bar bartender was grumpy and prone to be quite rude so it was better to stay away from him where possible which was a pity as sitting at the bar chatting is always great. Our room looked out to the sea and was perfect, really could not fault it. So apart from Mr Grumpy what bits didnt we like... I can see three areas to improve on: First the Italian and French restaurants (both great) seem to have the same kitchen / chef and he or she can only cook steak well done - bit disappointing really. Suggest ordering rare to get something close to medium well... There are lovely fire pits around the main pool to sit at and have a drink in the evenings but no bar to serve them. The only way to get a drink is to walk the main bar (some distance, up stairs and then battle with Mr Grumpy) or to head around the pool to the pub. There is another bar which would be great but it closes at 6pm. That would be a great night time place. Finally the Barefoot by the Sea restaurant was hugely disappointing We expected this to be the highlight of the trip and the menu was limited and what we had small and rather bland. Needs a menu refresh. The signature shrimp dish had less shrimps than the one the butler leaves in your room from time to time, no sign of any lobster or anything like that. So thats it. A bit of staff training for two people and one bar staying open a bit longer and the place is so near perfect. I should also add the butlers buggy trip around the golf course is amazing - if you stay there, dont miss it!!
