This hotel is at most 3.5 stars. The air conditioner vents were dirty and air conditioner was not working. I set it at 10 but in morning it was still at 28. Amenities were average too, like the towel was thin and just not what you expect. Also the safety light was missing from the room. Also the breakfast is poor and the assortment was very less. Many dishes were cold. I was just eating egg and coffee to be frank. I think they gave me such poor room because if booked with trip.com.

Probably the best hotel in Rizhao. The rooms are very comfortable, food excellent, and staff, very friendly and helpful!

Very nice hotel, with pleasant garden by the beach. One of The entrances gives straight access to the beach. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the manager Mr Sun Bo was very kind to us. Breakfast had many options, and the food was good.

Rizhao Donghu New Century Grand Hotel is simply amazing! 1) The hotel manager: Wang Wenyan, very hospitable, recommended me the surrounding attractions as soon as I arrived; 2) The hotel breakfast: It is simply a must, the sauerkraut noodles are more authentic than those eaten in Xi'an, 100 likes! 3) The hotel room: very spacious, very comfortable big bed, and VIP check-in fruit provided by Ctrip; 4) The surrounding area of ​​the hotel: There is a seaside similar to the ”Golden Sand Beach”, which is very quiet. For people like me who like quietness, it is really perfect. When I checked in that day, it happened that the city leaders came to the hotel for dinner, and there were people everywhere. The hotel is really nice when it comes to the decoration and the quality of items you find here and there. Yet, the service was rather confusing. I accidently booked a room with no windows, and, as i only stayed in Rizhao for two days and already travelled around for a bit, decided not to bother changing it. The heating in the room was okay at first and unbelievable later on; i literally couldn't fall asleep the whole night. When i asked to turn it down in the morning, i was suggested to change the room again. When i refused, they eventually turned it down, but just a bit, so i had to keep the door ajar pretty much all the time, which is not a pleasant experience in itself. I found some fruit later in the room, which was a nice gesture, but I'd rather be able to breathe normally 🙃

The TV is still small, the facilities in the room are not smart, and the location of the bedside socket needs to be improved, otherwise it is very cumbersome to charge the mobile phone. Talking about the advantages of the room, the room is huge, and it also has a super large balcony with a 45° viewing angle. It is not a full sea view, but it is already good, and the sound insulation is very good; the bathroom has a shower room, a bathtub, dry and wet separation, a safe, and a refrigerator. This is a complete standard. It can be seen that the decoration materials are better than many new hotels. The bedding is also good and the sleep is quite comfortable. It is recommended that the housekeeping department open the refrigerator in summer and put more ice water in it for guests to take it by themselves, otherwise it is time-consuming and laborious to call the housekeeping department to deliver water all the time. Water doesn't cost much. The maintenance work is average, the details of the room cannot be investigated in depth, and the sanitation and cleaning cannot be carefully checked because the facilities and equipment are a bit old. A free laundry room should be set up. Now many express hotels are free. It is a bit inappropriate to charge here. Overall, it is quite satisfactory. It is close to the beach, star standard, and the price is not expensive. For families traveling with children, at least the hotel does not have much formaldehyde smell, which is in line with expectations. The breakfast is OK, with rich varieties, including pancakes, wontons and noodles, as well as Chinese and Western food. It is quite good. The restaurant is also quite large, and there is a swimming pool and gym in the basement. I am quite satisfied with this stay! Recommended!

A good hotel with really nice, hard-working staff. Not the best view (our window looked out onto the street, super awkward) but it's a pretty good location in the city if you're not aiming to visit the mountains or anything. The only downside was the breakfast - not really the best selection for a buffet. It got way too busy and it was difficult to find a table; one morning they ran out of clean plates so a lot of visitors were hovering around and grabbing plates as staff brought them out. The wait to use the single coffee machine was too long, and at one point they just took it away and replaced it with coffee pots. All things considered it could have been worse.

Overall, this hotel is a hotel worth staying at. The service is very good. It provides considerate service and a unique experience, making people feel very comfortable and elegant. The transportation is also convenient nearby, and the shopping mall is close. It is very convenient to go to the seaside about 2 kilometers away. There are electric cars for rent when you go out.
