My family and I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Giardino, and it largely served its purpose: a comfortable and convenient place to sleep in between trips to Hot Park.
The food was decent, the beds were comfortable enough, and the shuttle service was frequent and convenient.
However, the rooms need some updating. Our toilet paper holder was barely hanging on to the wall. The bedroom A/C unit randomly leaked water in the middle of the night, and there was a piece of styrofoam used as a shim between the unit and the wall to prevent it from making a rattling noise, which we had to readjust about once a day. Also, the walls are paper thin; you can hear almost any movement in the adjacent rooms. The beds between my room and the adjacent room must have been sitting flush against the same wall, because I felt the bed shake with every movement from the other side of the wall in the adjacent room.
Don't have much to say about the amenities; we didn't hang around the property much. We walked past the hotel pool once, and saw a lonely lifeguard sitting next to an empty pool. Admittedly, with Hot Park tickets included in your stay, why would anyone use the hotel pool anyway?
There are plenty of restaurants, souvenirs, clothing stores and a pharmacy within a 10-minute walk from the property, so the hotel isn't totally isolated from everything, which we found nice when we weren't at Hot Park.
Overall, the experience wasn't terrible, but our room issues would make us rethink staying here again
