This may seem like a long review, there’s lots to get through – so stick with me on this! Check-in was quick, and we were told to wait outside for a porter to take us and our luggage to the room. We waited for at least 20 minutes before someone turned up – apparently reception staff hadn’t notified anyone that we were waiting. We booked a Premium double room for my wife and I and our son. The room was on the third floor. As we walked up the stairs, there was linen, and sheets just left scattered on the staircase and side which turned out to be a regular occurrence during the week – even after the cleaners had finished. We noticed one bundle was there for a complete week without being moved. The room was tiny – nothing like what we expected for a “Premium” room. There was a sofa made out to be a single bed right next to the double – no privacy at all. A glass door separated the bedroom from the toilette and shower – again, no privacy. A large window was between the bathroom and bedroom, so if anyone used the toilette at night, it would light up the whole room. We booked an inland view, but the view from the balcony was a concrete staircase to another block – not even a garden or pool view. But what was even worse, the air conditioning didn’t work. It was on but the temperature didn’t drop past 29 degrees. We complained to the holiday rep’s and reception – they sent out maintenance on several occasions but still didn’t work. Eventually they moved us to another room after 6 days which we were happy about (still had a glass door and window between the bedroom and toilette in the new room). Pet hate number 1: Smoking The hotel didn’t have designated areas for people smoking. People were smoking at the night entertainment around young children, in the outside restaurant areas when people were eating and around the pool. Sure a designated area can’t be that hard to arrange! There are plenty of pools at the hotel – those closer to the rooms were mainly for young families with music, entertainment, ball games etc. The infinity pool near the beach was a “quiet” pool with no games allowed. Some families thought it was acceptable to bring their own music speakers and play quite loud which wasn’t acceptable. The hotel should have an age restriction on the infinity pool – there were two occasions where younger children used it as a toilette which resulted in the pool being closed for 3 hours. The beach is quite small and stoney – not directly accessible from the hotel area which I was disappointed with. There is also a water park which we used once as the slides are prone to giving you friction burns – so be careful. Pet hate number 2: Reserving lounges There are plenty of loungers, but some people thought it was perfectly OK to put towels on a sun lounger and not return to them for 6-7 HOURS. In other resorts that I’ve stayed at – if you are not on a lounger for 45 minutes, the towels are removed to let other families use the loungers. Pool towels are
