Hôtel Mercure Rennes Place Bretagne

The hotel is small, but conveniently located. The breakfast (included) is so-so. But, the room was clean and comfortable for the few days we were there. But the real deal for me is how they helped me after we left. Despite all the traveling we do and how careful I am, I left our passports and about $800 in US currency in the safe. I didn't realize what I had done until we were hours away. I immediately called the hotel and the woman at the front desk went upstairs to the room I had occupied and rescued the items. She arranged to courier the items to me. Then the courier claimed there was no one available to accept delivery and returned them to the hotel. By this time we are even further on our trip and she resent them with a different courier and they were safely delivered to us. What a relief!!! Everything was intact and our trip continued smoothly. Here is a tip someone shared with me after words. The night before you leave, put on shoe you plan to wear the next day in, or on top of, the safe. I will do that on all future trips. Friendly staff and location is very good. The hotel lacks a restaurant and bar and in the tiny room, no desk to work from. This may be ideal for the tourist but if you are here for business and would like to get some work done, I suggest you go somewhere else.

Having read a few bad reviews about this hotel on our journey to the place, I was quite amazed on our arrival. It looks like it has been completely renovated and updated. Greeted warmly by the reception and booked in quickly. The room was clean, modern and very nice. In a previous post, said the bedsheets were threadbare, not the case. The hotel, parking is underneath the hotel, tight to get in, but OK with a medium size car. The hotel is situated near everything that a tourist requires. And even a SuperU Express 5 mins walk away. Overall a very pleasant 2 nights stay.

Emplacement très bien (transports, restaurants, centre ville). Chambre assez spacieuse, literie confortable. Petit déjeuner assez varié avec produits frais. Pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain (au mois de décembre). Radiateur de SDB en panne pendant le séjour de 3 nuits malgré demande de réparation. A priori problème déjà signalé par le client précédent selon le personnel. Geste commercial sur la facture mais décevant quant à la qualité du séjour.

En primer lugar, debo de resaltar que todo el personal que nos atendió fue muy amable e intentó solucionarnos todos los problemas que surgieron. Una vez dejado claro el anterior punto debo de motivar mi mala experiencia en este hotel: El ascensor no funcionaba y no había un segundo ascensor. En los cuatro días que estuvimos no vimos ningún técnico arreglando el mismo. En cada distribuidor de la planta, estaban las carretillas con la ropa limpia acumuladas (no había una habitación o departamento para su almacenamiento), supongo que para proceder rápidamente a las sustituciones correspondientes. La escalera por la que teníamos que subir o bajar a las habitaciones, era de tipo caracol, por lo que solo podía ser utilizada por una persona en cada momento; no sé que hubiera pasado en caso de un siniestro. Mis amigos de viaje, descubrieron que la sábana bajera de su cama estaba rota (rasgada), y encontraron un calcetín en la mesa de la habitación; por lo que concluimos, que no habían limpiado la misma, una vez los anteriores clientes la dejaron. A esta queja no obtuvimos respuesta. Prevengo a los futuros clientes de este hotel, que estudien muy bien el cartel que ponen en la puerta con la finalidad de que la limpien, no queda claro que cara del cartel deben de poner. Yo al parece me equivoque, y no me hicieron en dos ocasiones la habitación; me aconsejaron desde el hotel que no pusiera cartel y así con seguridad me limpiarían la habitación. Deduje que tendrían muy poco personal para el mantenimiento y limpieza, motivo por el cual ocurrían estas circunstancias. El hotel no tiene servicios a la altura de 4 estrellas, considero que debe corresponderle un 2 estrellas. No recomiendo para nada este hotel tal y como lo he conocido. La dirección del hotel, conocedores de todas estas deficiencias, no nos cobraron el aparcamiento de nuestro vehículo.

Après un séjour en 2021, petite déception sur la nuit passée en juillet 2024. Ménage approximatif dans la chambre 305 (poussière, traces de calcaire surla paroi de douche, distributeur de gel douche totalement vide). Un seul sachet d'infusion, pas de thé. Le petit déjeuner est aussi un peu décevant , avec des fruits à la fraîcheur largement dépassée et un choix très limité sur les confitures (deux). Pas de douche sensorielle dans la chambre alors que c était indiqué. Enfin, aucun retour au mail adressé à l'hôtel pour signaler ces désagréments. Chambre chère en comparaison des hôtels avoisinants. Points positifs: grand lit confortable, chambre calme, climatisation et immense tv.
