We were looking for a quiet place to spend a few days recovering from jet lag before heading off on safari and Burkleigh House far exceeded our expectations. The bridal suite is elegant and comfortable, with a soaking tub and luxurious bed. The garden and grounds are so lush that we decided to have a full day doing nothing but staying on-site and enjoying the nature, including a family of very fluffy chickens and a papa rooster. There was an engagement party happening the second day we were there and it was very fun to see the beautiful table settings and the garden party set up. Estelle is an amazing hostess, breakfasts were delicious and huge, and the owner, Patricia seems to love what she is doing. I feel so lucky to have discovered this gem.

the Good the property is gorgeous, the food scrumptious and fresh, the rooms are well kept and furnished. The not so good the rooms do not have an ironing equipment the contact person within a property can not be reachable, as they do not answer your messages the liquid milk in the fridge was never changed or refilled so as the liquid bath soap , never refilled plus the TV just out of the blue stopped working and could not even get anyone to ask since you cant get anyone after 4 pm for help, also the ones who cleaned the room left it so without fixing it, but just switched it off another law that need to be reviewed, not allowing anyone of the guest's people to enter the premises

Thank you very much for an incredibly lovely morning with the small intimate wedding we did at your place. The service was excellent from the morning we visit to discuss the wedding to the end when we left after the day of the wedding. Everything about the venue is beautiful, very well-maintained garden and interior. The food was excellent. Every member of staff and owner provided a very friendly and professional service, and we will certainly recommend this venue. Excellent venue.

The pillows are honestly the fluffiest I’ve ever felt and the best genuinely the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! The food was incredible and the venue was really beautiful with a mix of modern & antique. Such a beautiful garden to walk around in and feel rested. 10/10 for me.

Absolutely loved this place, The environment and gardens are out of this world, lush, green, well kept and peaceful. Friendly and helpful staff, great hospitality. Definitely a hidden gem that is worth a stay. Rooms are classic and comfortable, well equipped and spacious.

Enjoyed my stay at Burkleigh. I appreciate that Victoria was courteous enough to upgrade our rooms due to the event that was being hosted during my stay. Amazing service and facilities. My friends and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast and ambiance. I highly recommend it.

We had an engagement party at Burkleigh House and what a beautiful place it is! I can only describe the gardens as WOW! You would not think you are in the middle of Randburg, that's how beautifully serene and picturesque the place is. The service from the moment we enquired to the date of our event was superb - very responsive, professional and friendly. Virginia, Patricia and the team worked with our event planners/venue decorators to ensure everything was perfect on the day. The food was superb and the portions were quite generous. Businesses often take time to refund the breakage deposit. but that was not the case with Burkleigh, they refunded me without any hassles or trying to find reasons not to refund me - which I highly appreciate as it demonstrates an ethical business practice! Thank you Burkleigh for making our day so memorable!

I stayed at Burkleigh House for the first time for 3 nights, was in JHB for a business trip. I was very comfortable, and the guesthouse had everything I needed. I always require a refrigerator and microwave in my room which they provided for. Although the area the houses looked a bit delapidated around the Guesthouse, when driving into the driveway, it was like driving into a haven. Will definitley book there again.
