The Secret Garden

I bought a travel pack from the Secret Garden. First, we were met with a guard in front of the door before entering the Secret garden building. He was asking us for our business and we felt that we were not even being welcomed. When I purchased the travel pack from them, then we got no information from them, and we had to travel the day after planned by secret garden. This no information policy was a nightmare. I wasn't too happy about this type of attitude. On my first day, the tour guide picked us up and was surprised to know that there was no information at all. I have had no idea what the tour included or not. The tour guide was on our side and called the Secret Garden about complaint, then we only got half of the information, which did not make any sense at all. We complained about them so many times and this was frustrating with no information at all or limited information. I truly do not recommend to buy any travel packs from them. Most of the travel we took was nice, but luckily these travel packs was independent from Secret Garden even that we purchased these travel packs from Secret Garden. The Amazon trip was amazing, but secret garden never informed us about anything. Worst part is that Secret garden didn't even inform us about Hill house hotel in Cotopaxi, we also stayed there, but with no informed from Secret Garden in Quito.

nice place and clean but its a trap like, no kitchen and super over priced bar and restaurant and breakfast even if they give you 50%off. staff are nice but overwhelmed with turism . while i would pay 7 dollar a night in 16 dorm room a friend would pay 5usd in 8 dorm . at same period. not where i would stay again.

What a great hostel ! It is very large, with many different options for lodging . There is a great restaurant/ bar on the roof We booked a private room with a bathroom and it was very comfortable I would highly recommend for your overnight in Quito We are middle aged, and did not feel out of place or too old to be here . There are guests of all ages

I had a private room for one night. The bar was loud but I was able to sleep just fine. Great atmosphere. Maze-like which I found fun. Lots of hidden areas to read. The view from the roof was incredible and I loved my lunch at the rooftop restaurant. I will say. If you’re on the taller side you may find the beds a little short.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Many great things to say: ideal location, perfect base for day trips or tours, staff is very helpful and friendly, good food that is reasonable prices, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Only positive things to say about this one!

This is an awesome hostel. It’s nice,clean,safe. Has excellent customer service. It is very near public transport. It offers affordable tours and transport. It gives 50% discount to customers for their rooftop restaurant. I highly recommend this hostel.
