Ilunion Costa SAL Lanzarote

Spent 10 days in Puerto del Carmen with our family and had 3 days booked in Costa Sal when they went home . We had been there a few times during the previous management and loved it. We arrived at 11.30 having checked out of our previous hotel at 11 and we were told by the receptionist that check in is normally 3-4 but she would try and get our room earlier. That was no problem and we went for lunch then a drink at the pool bar . The pool area has had a fab upgrade since our last visit and we were very happy to wait to check in . My husband went to reception to collect our keys to be told we were upgraded to the best room in the house, and they weren’t wrong ! Room 607 … luxury villa just fabulous. Everything we needed and more . Even a hot tub ! Thank you so much you made the last few days of a great holiday even better. Reception staff, restaurant staff and cleaning staff all top class . Amazing stay

Great hotel with good service, friendly staff and excellent rooms. Given it was April, the hotel was very peaceful and enabled a relaxing break. I found the staff at front desk were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was basic though not much variety/change each day - still was good IMO with fresh food, and only once noticed some thing was not replenished quickly. The gym is basic but adequate and not busy when I was there. The restaurant/bar was slightly below average, as I found food was not that tasty and generally overpriced for what it is. Plus the service needed to be asked for rather than given, and once having incorrect change given by staff. Admittedly, some of the staff in restaurant/bar were better, so its inconsistent.

Me and my husband are just back from 10 days. We have to say its the nicest place we've stayed in lanzarote the pool area is beautiful and really clean. The food is amazing, your told your room is cleaned every second day but ours was cleaned everyday. The staff are really helpful and friendly, overall 10/10 we are booking to go back in August and can't wait

First stay since Illunion took over hotel, still as nice as previous stays, staff really helpful & friendly. Rooms clean & spacious, main pool area beautiful. It’s just a lovely place 1st time we’ve used breakfast buffet as it was included in price. It’s fine, but needs improving to bring it up to the rest of the quality of the hotel. Food could be warmer, & not replenished as often as should be. Eggs made to order from kitchen just takes too long. Should have an egg station in buffet area to speed up the timings & free up the other staff to concentrate on replenishing the buffet area.

Brilliant stay , we had the villa 621 and it was fantastic! Hot tub was a lovely extra. Two couples and a 6 month old baby, they supplied everything for my daughter which was brilliant (cot, baby bath etc) . All the staff, reception, ground and bar staff work very hard and are always so pleasant. We ate in the bar for lunch twice and it was very good and fresh. Drinks prices are reasonable and would have no complaints. It's our 4th time staying here and it has changed but not to a point where I wouldn't go back, staff and facilities make the stay, it's still a fantastic complex despite the small subtle changes.. my one disappointment would be that I went to watch a premier league game in the bar to be told they didnt have sky sports and there was some Spanish game on , I'm sure if they had sky sports there would have been a few in watching it and spending money. I met a few other couples who were going to watch it but had to go elsewhere. Makes no sense to not have that facility for customers.overall though a wonderful stay.

we liked the quiet position of the hotel and yet close to the sea front. It was also pleasantly quiet at night. All was very satisfactory with cleanliness of a high standard, friendly staff and good service.

This was our 6th visit and overall we were disappointed compared to previous visits. Our last visit was January 2023. The hotel is now part of a chain and has lost that ‘family feel’ and is now no different from any other chain hotel. Sadly we will not be returning to this hotel but will return to Lanzarote. The a la carte restaurant has been removed reducing the offering to a fixed buffet menu repeated on a seven day cycle. The price of a pint was raised from €4 to €6.20 overnight whereas even the top restaurants in PDC only charged us €3.50 a pint. The apartment we stayed in, 112, was extremely tired and needed a makeover especially the bathroom. The TV didn’t work but as we had iPads we managed. They have a problem with pigeons and as we had trees close to the balcony they constantly land and leave a calling card. I had to mop the balcony every morning before we could use it. There was very limited crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils albeit we had gone self catering with the intention of having a light breakfast in the apartment, using the restaurant, which no longer existed, or eating out. There was distinct lack of coat hangers. The price of hiring the safe required a €40 deposit of which only €10 was returned., a huge increase since our last visit. Having said all that the staff from reception to the restaurant and cleaners and ground staff are exceptional friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. Our overall impression was that making money was now the driving factor. Personally I would no longer rate this as four star but more as a three star.

Stayed in April 2024 for 1 week, great location, room very clean with lovely comfy beds. The pools were a good size and a relaxing are to sunbathe. Would definitely recommend

Everything is spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the beds are comfortable. It is a very quiet place with no noise at night making for a very relaxing and peaceful stay.
