Arrived after a very long, hot, cycle ride via the beatiful villages of Calascio and San Stefano. Warmly greeted, and checked in to very elegant room in testored convent. Lovely grounds to wander around. Had dinner there although main restaurant wasnt yet open, good meat skewers, arrosticini and typical cheese/meat platter along with fabulously house wine. Comfortable quiet night and lovely breakfast, happily stay again if in area.

Although the hotel is located some distance from any town, it is in an excellent position to explore the beautiful mountains of the area. The hotel is staffed by pleasant people and is very clean. We had booked our accommodation with half board, which turned out to be a very beneficial option as it was convenient after a day of exploring the region to return to the hotel and have a relaxing and very tasteful dinner without having to travel again to search for a restaurant.

A lovely scenic place surrounded by beautiful countryside. Perfect break to get away from it all. Very friendly and hospitable host and staff who did their utmost to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights here in July discovering the less known Abruzzo. Although the rooms are basic and not very light, this is due to the fact that we slept in a monk’s cell and creature comforts were not a priority. In any case, you don’t come to Abruzzo to spend time instead; you come to walk, cycle and eat! The gardens have an amazing view of the countryside and mountains and the staff (Luisa and Maria Antonetta) wonderfully helpful with information such as the nearest walking trail

A truly enjoyable stay. Excellent service, respectful, kind, very informative and friendly. Local products were served to honor the region which was a pleasure for the eye as well as the stomach.

Hotel that's a bit different, large rooms with vaulted ceilings but even now in June quite cold at night (ask for additional bedding). Good breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner. Lovely location surrounded by gardens and woods with a few historic villages in the area worth a visit.

Un posto accogliente e pieno di sorriso e serenità. La stanza è essenziale ma ampia e comoda, gli ambienti comuni sono avvolgenti, la colazione è di varietà contenuta ma di qualità eccezionale. Lo staff è gentilissimo. Cosa desiderare di più?

Luogo magico, immerso nel silenzio e nella natura. All'arrivo si rimane incantati dalla struttura e dal profumo di aromi e piante del giardino. Lo staff è incredibilmente disponibile e preparato, è piacevolissimo chiacchierare e farsi consigliare le meraviglie di un territorio da scoprire oppure lasciarsi viziare con un aperitivo o una merenda. Colazione ottima, salata e dolce, tutta di prodotti genuini e freschi. È il punto di partenza ideale per scoprire il Gran Sasso, L'Aquila, e le valli incontaminate dell'Abruzzo. Una chicca infine l'orto botanico, curato ed ideale per rilassarsi cullati dal suono ed il profumo della natura.

Soggiorno stupendo.Meraviglioso hotel immerso nel bosco.Interni bellissimi.Camera ampia con ottima vista,pulita e silenziosa.Colazione superba ,abbondante e di grande qualità (solo per questo meriterebbe 5 stelle).Grande gentilezza e professionalità del personale. Sicuramente uno dei posti dove ritornare.
