We needed a place to stay for our last night in Italy before returning to the States. We found this gem, which is 5 minutes off the highway. It’s a 17th century Villa tucked into a tiny hillside town. The quaint grounds couldn’t be more charming—covered with grape vines and surround by fields of olive trees and free roaming sheep. The common areas of the hotel are fill with items that are dear to the family, including lots of old family photos. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Star stars of the show here are the owners, who take incredible prices in every aspect of their hotel. Their serve ever meal them selves, they explain where I very item on the menu comes from, and why it’s special. The dinner was absolutely delicious , featuring locally sourced ingredients. After dinner, we were treated to homemade limoncello, in their quaint garden. We stayed there for one night and they could not have been more thoughtful or caring. As we rushed on in the morning to get to the airport, we were handed delicious handmade prosciutto and cheese sandwiches on homemade focaccia. We loved this gem and could not recommend it any higher.
