InPatio Guest House

We had already stayed in Lisbon for a few days and were looking to staying in Porto for the last few days of the holiday. Glad we did and glad we found InPatio guest house. A stones throw from the river and all the restaurants on this side of it. Good position for trams, metro and train station. Olga and Fernando looked after us at the InPatio guest house. I would have to say the breakfast although not a cooked one was second to none. Fantastic. Olga would bring it out on a tray to go along with what was already on the table. She knew where every item to eat originated from and told you this and what it was very proudly. Fernado looked after coffee or tea and any little problems that could have cropped up, not that any did. The room we stayed in overlooked a courtyard and was very pleasant, clean and looked after. I little bit of Portuguese biscuit or cake would be left for you to try in a glass container which we thought quite charming. A door card secured our room and main door. This was easy to use. A safe was also supplied and free to use in the room. We had a lovely time staying here and would certainly book the same when we come back. We could thoroughly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect, everything was walkable, but tucked into a small courtyard so very quiet. The room was large and very clean. Bathroom was large as well. Breakfast was a highlight. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We would highly recommend it.

Of the 7 accommodations we stayed at in Portugal, this was easily #1. What a treat! First the location is perfect for exploring Porto, two blocks from the waterfront and close to other main attractions, couldn't have been more ideal. The rooms were clean, well appointed, comfy and quiet, really pleasant vibe in the hole place. The owners were so gracious and friendly and welcoming, but let me tell you the breakfasts were simply amazing. Each morning they deliver table side a curated selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, jams, juice, yogurt etc and explained the special qualities of each, origin, unique tastes, what made them a real treat - we felt totally spoiled! A few days before our arrival they sent an e-mail with guidance tips to find them, they are a bit tucked away off the street but that is part of the charm of the place and how peaceful it is. A simply outstanding guest house, good value and I highly recommend it for your stay. If I were to return to Porto this would be my only choice.

We booked two rooms for three days during May. The location is excellent with lovely rooms that are very well designed. The breakfasts each day were delicious with fresh ingredients and custom made beverages. InPatio has a large inventory of guide books and brochures if you need to do additional research on the area and attractions. Olga and Fernando are wonderful, attentive hosts.

My husband and I loved our stay at InPatio, it's a real gem. It's a wonderful small hotel in a cute courtyard away from any street noise. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed and great pillows. Olga and Fernando are excellent and helpful hosts who serve incredible breakfasts. They were kind to help us sort out questions about our train to Lisbon. Junior who checked us in was also very helpful and pointed us in the right direction for yummy food after we arrived. We would definitely recommend InPatio to friends and would stay here again.

My husband and I loved our 6 night stay with Olga and Fernando. Our room was quiet, private and very comfortable. The view from our room was charming! The breakfasts were homemade, delicious, and prepared so thoughtfully. What a treat to start the day with these breakfasts! We also appreciated the location in the Ribeira area. We were able to walk everywhere and see all the sights. We will always remember our stay in Porto at the InPatio Guesthouse. We would love to return soon. Thank you, Olga and Fernando!

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Porto and staying at InPatio was one of the highlights. We had been traveling through Spain and Portugal for several weeks and the breakfast at InPatio was tremendous -- the best breakfast throughout the region. We looked forward to Olga giving us the story behind each of the foods she provided in the morning. While we were there, my husband needed to see a doctor. Fernando called the nearby hospital/doctor to make sure we could visit. They gave us directions and we got right in and had the medical appointment pronto. Then on with our day sightseeing. Thanks to Olga and Fernando for making our trip to Porto so pleasant. We would highly recommend staying at InPatio.

We had a great stay at the InPatio Guest House in Porto. Olga and Fernando were very gracious and welcoming. The homemade breakfast they served every morning had a lot of authentic Portuguese foods like presunto (like prosciutto) and Portuguese cheeses, not to mention good coffee and pastries. The Hotel is located in a small, quiet courtyard, but in a neighborhood that is close to the major sights including the Ribeira district. Olga and Fernando provide excellent instructions to locate the hotel via taxi or metro. Make sure to have a Port Tonic in the bar in the N'o Mercado across the street.

We had a very nice and comfortable stay at InPatio Guest House in Porto. If you like a beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Porto you’re at the right place. And the breakfast is extraordinary, with home baked products. We will definitely come back next time we’ll stay in Porto!
