So we have just left the Park Hotel Casimiro as always I like to write an honest and hopefully helpful review for those looking to visit First of all I must thank Giulietta for looking after us so well on our special holiday and for the beautiful room she kindly arranged for us, and for all the help and advice during our stay. Also to Marco, who greeted us everyday with the biggest smile and was a such a lovely guy & Concetta our lovely waitress in the evening, who again was so lovely.. ( I’m sorry we missed you, to say goodbye before we left) and to all the staff in the hotel, who could not do enough for you to make you feel welcome and made sure you enjoyed your stay. So. The good bits!! Beautiful hotel right on the lake and next to the little harbour. The hotel is kept spotless and the gardens and pool are so relaxing and with views to die for. The staff are all amazing, and the hotel has a little gym, spa and indoor pool and in the summer the roof top jacuzzi is open. The food is amazing, don’t believe any reviews that say otherwise! I’m the worlds fussiest eater and there was plenty of choice every morning and evening, fresh fish, various meats, pasta, lasagna etc etc. and great puddings!! The waiters/waitresses all work extremely hard and make sure you are well looked after. Lunch is available but does have a limited menu, but the pizza is delicious! Plenty of cocktails and lovely drinks available and ice creams. Location wise you are very secluded, there is nothing round the area other than a couple of restaurants, be aware no shops/supermarket!! You are limited to the hotel drinks and food. Salo is a ferry ride or taxi ride away (10mins) and is beautiful, here you will find plenty of little bars, shops and restaurants and a lovely marina. Boats run around 4-5 times a day and go all over the lake and there are some beautiful towns to visit and would highly recommended seeing as many as you can. Verona also worth a visit and if you get time the Dolomites we’re just breathtaking. The only downside to the hotel other than the secluded location was that A/C was not turned on until June ( so we were told) so rooms do get very warm in the eve, the rooms also are small, have no tea or coffee facilities and the one we had although lovely had no mirror, other than the bathroom so be aware ladies! Also no iron available so make sure you pack one and not forget like I did 🤦♂️ If you want a stunning, quiet location with great food and lovely staff then this is the place for you, we loved it!! Enjoy!!!
