The Olympians Villas

We booked this front line villa through VRBO, sadly the villa we were allocated was not one that featured in the photos and chose which has left us feeling cheated. That said the whole experience wasn't terrible and I want to give a fair review. The good Excellent communication throughout the booking process. Clear check in instructions. Good location a few steps from the lovely quiet beach. Nice complex with car parking and well maintained. Very nice lounge area with a comfortable sofa. Nice views from upstairs. Marcel did come and fix the dishwasher just after we arrived. The bad Not the villa we booked. Broken furniture in the bedrooms and on the patio. Poor quality mattresses and bedding Very uncomfortable sun loungers. No information packs (such a nice part of a villa holiday) but stickers on the fridge. Cheap shower curtains and not the glass shower panels in the photos, they get stuck to you when you shower. There are lots of birds which is lovely, however there is a problem with pigeons on the roof which leads to lots of excrement and scuttling, we also had a couple of dead baby birds to fish out of the pool in the morning. Dead rat on lawn when we arrived. The other issues is the amount of small flies on the lawn, you have to put the loungers on the lawn as there is not pool patio to speak of. By the end of our stay you would be covered and couldn't eat or drink on the loungers. They also bite. This could be easily rectified with some pesticide on the lawn. I concede that we didn't complain about all the above until the day before we left when I found the terrace chair completely ripped, we hadn't used this area before. This infuriated me and so I wrote to Eve who was very defensive in her response and wanted to accuse us of breaking the furniture, which was unbelievable. We hadn't wanted to waste our holiday with maintenance people in the villa all the time and also this would create bad energy for my family by complaining. We left feeling cheated, and cannot recommend this complex as you do not know what you are booking. With some investment these villas could be lovely but at the moment they are basic at best.

The Villas were nice albeit a bit dated. The location was great and the views from the balconies were lovely. The garden and pool area was great, but the pool Itself could do with a little TLC. The bottom of the pool was very rough on your skin and quite a few pool tiles were broken or missing. The entrance of the Villas didn’t give a great first impression, as the sign on one side has missing and broken letters. Worst part was the beds.. super hard and extremely uncomfortable and the Pillows gave zero support at all, I would highly recommend replacing with softer mattresses. The TV in the lounge was WAY too small for the size of the room. The WiFi was poor at best and when you’ve got kids with you, you really need good WiFi to keep them entertained. It was very conveniently situated close to Latchi and Polis, but you do need a car. The staff there were super nice, friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again, but only if the bed and WiFi Situation improved.
