We were a bit nervous arriving at the accommodation as there are very mixed reviews - some state it as 'terrible' and others say it is 'amazing'! I'm not sure if this reflects luck of the draw or a change in management. The room and shared kitchen were clean and comfortable but the listing details were inaccurate. There was not a desk in the room which was frustrating as I was on a work trip and had to work on a tiny table in the shared kitchen. Unfortunately there was very poor lighting in there as the main light was not functioning. There was no kettle in the room which didn't matter to us as we just used the kitchen, but again this was inaccurate in the listing. There were significant defects in the decor of our room - paint and wallpaper peeling off in multiple places. It was also not at all sound proofed such that we had loud footsteps through the ceiling, other guests moving about and talking and even going to the toilet (not very pleasant!). The water pressure in the shower was very low - challenging for me to wash my long hair so I actually didn't bother to try after the first day. The particularly frustrating issue was that the self-check-in relied on having access to a phone or internet to receive codes at the moment of check-in. Given that I have to pay roaming charges when abroad this was not ideal and I struggled to get information from the company prior to leaving the UK. All in all it was not a bad place to stay but I wouldn't stay here again.
