Ton Sai Tropical Phi Phi Island

The property owner / manager seems to have left on reviews for the older property as well, it is now well renovated. You’d be going to one of the best stays there is at Phi Phi. We stayed here for 2 nights and were mighty comfortable. We arrived at the island on the Tonsai Pier through a speedboat from Ao Nang, the hotel sent a staff to escort our luggage to the hotel and as we started walking - we reached our hotel in 3 mins by walk! That’s not just it, the hotel is ridiculously close to all the hotspots on the island, you get to the local food market in a minute, 7-Eleven in 2 mins, Loh Dalum Beach in 3 mins, and a barrage of beachside bars in 5-10 mins, just pick a lane and you’re in the center of tourism in no time, on foot! The hotel’s location is centrally awesome! The last 10 second lane walk to the hotel is a bit busy and surrounded by local kitchen equipment, etc. not the best but only until you hit the hotel at the end of the lane, and by the way it was safe to walk there, no issues even when we returned late night after a banger at Slinky! The rooms are superbly functional and aesthetic, you got everything you need, I particularly loved their bed setting wherein you have the extended backside to park your luggage at the standing level to not need a wardrobe or bend down to shebang the bags, the power sockets are conveniently placed on the bedside, along with pretty little coffee tables on both the sides. Modern, Chic and sophisticated! We stayed on the third floor with a pool view room that had a small beach view as well, one has an option to book a pool view room as well on the ground floor. The hotel staff was quite polite and hospitable, they’re a small team at the reception and it’s more like a boutique hotel but they do their job well and considering it’s a small hotel, they know their customers by face and will remember if you asked for something and will deliver if they can. We were provided the beach towels, umbrella, luggage towing from / to pier as complimentary and even an hour’s extension for late checkout, which many don’t at Phi Phi. The breakfast was alright, not the top and it’s by the menu, not as a buffet. You order in an English breakfast with a coffee of your choice and that will do the trick, at least it did for us. There is no hotline to reach the reception from the room but you can take their number and call from your cell and they’ll help out. Unlike the other hotel review I read at Phi Phi, I see a lot of complaints about properties requiring upgrade, loud noises from the bars at late night, AC not working, bathrooms not clean, etc. We faced none of it at this hotel, hygiene was top class. Considering it’s a small hotel with only a couple of floors, there is no lift so I’d caution the elderly and specially abled. Also, the room beds are king size so you can squeeze in a small child while 2 adults or a couple sleeps in fairly comfortably, as did me and my wife. I also read somewhere not to rinse you

I was very happy with my stay here. The hotel is very clean and has a modern feel The pool is nice and well maintained The location is very good and close to the pier and beach ( small island so everything is close) Staff are extremely helpful too Small cafe on site which is nice to sit and relax in The rooms are very large which is good for long stays

Pros: -hotel is in a good location - pool is lovely and modern - tucked away from all the chaos of the strip Cons: -On arrival we found dirty stained bedsheets, when asked to get them changed they were then changed into another set of dirty sheets. We raised this with the staff and they told us all their sheets are stained and this is normal. We have stayed in far cheaper and more basic accommodation in Thailand and still had clean sheets -walls very thin and can heat people getting in at early hours and slamming doors and shouting. You can also hear the music from the main beach bars however this is expected on such a small island -paint/plaster crumbling on the ceiling

I loved this hotel. It is very pretty and aesthetic. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and they make great coffee, drinks and food in the small included café. The rooms are spacious and so comfortable and pretty. The pool in the back is nice as well with beautiful flower trees. Its a 30 second walk from everything and it’s basically in the center but still on a quite side road. We could not stop taking pictures of this place and felt more than welcome and at home. We’re so sad we had to leave.

Phi Phi island a very busy island in high season accommodation very hard to find this time I am lucky I came the right time and find this small motel. The room and bathroom is big clean perfectly renovated recently I guess you will get basic amenities clean bath towels only 2 and shower gel and shampoo the room got small fridge and coffee kettle and coffee no food service this motel . The great things about this motel is perfectly located for everything so you don’t have to walk a long way to your accommodation. The price very good this time of the season that might change the high season. The only issue I had this accommodation stuff working there they are not 100% to work there maybe the language barrier the management maybe looking to this trains staff a better customer service other than that this a good place to rest after all those activities on the island.

Hotel was tucked away along the back alley. Big sign so it was clear enough to find. Rooms very big, basic features and the rooms were clean. Our only issue was there was a lot of construction going on, so lots of banging and drilling from 8am to wake you up. Also as you leave the hotel you are walking through a construction zone not knowing if the builders can see you from above. Understand that the hotel needs to run whilst this is going on but this would have been nice to know before hand. Also along the alleyway was always flooded, even on dry days. With the smell in the area I wouldn’t like to think what the flooding is from and you have to walk through the flooding. Again not their fault but thought I’d mention. Guys are reception were friendly, otherwise not much interaction so not much to go on.
