We loved our stay at Hotel Umbria. Our room was very quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast was super, and for only 4 Euros, you couldn't do better. The location was super, close to restaurants and historic sights. Best of all, the staff was amazing! Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

This is a charming, good value for money, friendly little hotel located just 5 or so minutes from the main pedestrianised central area of Perugia's old town. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus terminal (the train station is much further away, but there are city buses that connect the terminal to the old town). If driving, there are car parks nearby. Despite being so centrally located in the old town, it is very quiet and I slept really well the two nights I stayed here. The hotel staff are super helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. Great water pressure and lots of hot water in the shower (but it has to be the tiniest shower cubicle I've ever been in - making the bathroom a shower wet room would be the solution). It has a cosy breakfast room and a charming little terrace as well (open in the warmer months). I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Umbria!

A really well placed two star hotel about two minute walk from the main area near the square/museum etc. We were there for the jazz festival and it was very hot about 36 degrees. The hotel provided fans for each room which helped somewhat. Breakfast was good with fresh coffee made by the owners. The owner , his brother and the rest of the staff were very attentive and provided advice and information as required. The hotel also has a fridge in reception selling water, soft drinks and alcohol. The other thing to note to get to the lower end of town is that there are underground escalators which is a great plus particularly in the hot weather !

A prison! no AC so I roasted in my room, was locked in late at might when I wanted to go out, I was locked in my room by the cleaner, had to pay for breakfast. I can see why this place is empty in peak season, I can't imagine off season!

This place is for those who are looking for an authentic, personalized, genuine experience in the middle of medieval Perugia without paying a fortune. If you are looking for anonymous soulless rooms, standardized, impersonal service, air condition that refrigerates you etc, don't go here. We enjoy places that have kept their soul and aren't modernized into some unrecognizable standard that you can find everywhere. This place is run by the owner whom you get to know if you are friendly and contact him. Then he can tell a lot about Perugia and surroundings

While I would give this hotel three stars since it is badly in need of an update; 1970s bathroom plumbing etc .. it actually should get four stars at least for its kind and helpful staff. Any reception which has a bookshelf full of books for guest to read, is normally a good sign for me. The rooms are clean and the location is very good; but a warning to those who may have disability issues. It’s a steep walk up some stairs from the hotel to town’s centre but within five minutes (after the obligatory morning exercise up those stairs), you’re right in the middle of Perugia. Hotel breakfast is very minimal; coffee, cornetto and juice; the assumption being that you will seek breakfast elsewhere in town. Would suggest to the owners that maybe they could add cereal or fruit to the menu. This is a well-run family-run business and if you’re looking for budget accommodation worth its value, then check out this hotel.

Non so in quale camera abbiano soggiornato gli ospiti che le descrivono spaziose e confortevoli e quelli che parlano di pulizia. Non sono una viaggiatrice seriale, ma per lavoro o altro mi sposto abbastanza spesso e non credo di aver mai trovato una struttura simile. Il "tappeto" sulle scale è qualcosa di osceno, niente aria condizionata, quella specie di phon in bagno nn funzionava: dopo pochi secondi si surriscaldava e dovevo aspettare alcuni minuti per farlo partire per altri pochi secondi. Va bene le due stelle, però credo che al di sotto di alcuni standard non si dovrebbe andare. Personale sicuramente molto cortese e posizione ottima. La colazione l'ho evitata! Io ero a Perugia per lavoro, ci sono restata una notte e, per fortuna, non faceva nemmeno troppo caldo, ma onestamente non ci tornerei.

Hotel molto carino, in centro. Personale gentile e premuroso. Si può chiedere alla reception il servizio da e verso aeroporto, molto comodo, usufruito entrambi. La colazione se si voleva era distribuita al piano terra, ma noi abbiamo preferito mangiare nelle vicine panetterie e bar.

É um hotel familiar básico, simpático e sem luxos. Está na zona medieval, em rua íngreme e perto dos pontos turísticos. O café da manhã a 4 euros serve um croissant, um capuccino e um suco de frutas. A TV tem apenas canais em italiano. Para viajantes tranquilos e sem grandes exigências. O melhor do hotel é a atenção dos funcionários.
