Hotel Umbria

A really well placed two star hotel about two minute walk from the main area near the square/museum etc. We were there for the jazz festival and it was very hot about 36 degrees. The hotel provided fans for each room which helped somewhat. Breakfast was good with fresh coffee made by the owners. The owner , his brother and the rest of the staff were very attentive and provided advice and information as required. The hotel also has a fridge in reception selling water, soft drinks and alcohol. The other thing to note to get to the lower end of town is that there are underground escalators which is a great plus particularly in the hot weather !

A prison! no AC so I roasted in my room, was locked in late at might when I wanted to go out, I was locked in my room by the cleaner, had to pay for breakfast. I can see why this place is empty in peak season, I can't imagine off season!

While I would give this hotel three stars since it is badly in need of an update; 1970s bathroom plumbing etc .. it actually should get four stars at least for its kind and helpful staff. Any reception which has a bookshelf full of books for guest to read, is normally a good sign for me. The rooms are clean and the location is very good; but a warning to those who may have disability issues. It’s a steep walk up some stairs from the hotel to town’s centre but within five minutes (after the obligatory morning exercise up those stairs), you’re right in the middle of Perugia. Hotel breakfast is very minimal; coffee, cornetto and juice; the assumption being that you will seek breakfast elsewhere in town. Would suggest to the owners that maybe they could add cereal or fruit to the menu. This is a well-run family-run business and if you’re looking for budget accommodation worth its value, then check out this hotel.

Intanto, la posizione della struttura è perfetta per visitare il centro di Perugia (a 50 metri appena da Corso Vannucci). È un 2 stelle che tranquillamente meriterebbe le 3 stelle: parquet in una camera ampia e pulita con una grande TV, bagno con doccia, bidet e phon. Abbastanza vicina anche una stradina dove parcheggiare comodamente. Attenzione, la struttura è in ZTL, quindi occorre fornire in reception il numero di targa della propria auto per relativa comunicazione al Comando Polizia Locale. Eppoi, ciliegina, grande cordialità e disponibilità dei gestori/proprietari.

Hotel un po' "storico" con camera di dimensioni essenziali. È in una posizione stategica per cui ideale come base per visitare Perugia. Difficile arrivarci in macchina sia per zona ztl che per le stradine di dimensioni limitate trattandosi di vie del centro storico; la soluzione è parcheggiare nei parcheggi a pagamento es. Piazza Partigiani ( in questo caso l'hotel hs una convenzione per scontare il costo) e poi raggiungere l'hotel a piedi e con le scale mobili molto comode dal parcheggio verso il centro storico. La stanza che abbiamo chiesto ha 2 letti singoli e dà sulla strada interna, un armadio, un tavolo con 2 sedie e 2 comodini, gli spazi sono giusti giusti senza alcun centimetro di troppo. Il bagno con doccia,  water ed il bidet incorporato nell'asse del water, anche il bagno con spazi non eccedenti. In questa estate torrida è disponibile un ventilatore che però non rinfresca più di tanto, neanche di notte. Prezzo 72 a notte direi adeguato allo stato dell'arte considerando il plus della posizione e della colazione inclusa nel prezzo e servita al bar interno.

Abbiamo prenotato la camera all’ultimo momento, e abbiamo speso pochissimo tra camera, tassa di soggiorno e colazione (75€), inoltre si può fare colazione sia all’interno, che all’esterno, in un terrazzino. La colazione era molto buona, costa solo 4€ a testa e per essere un 2 stelle era più che allestita e completa e più buona di altri hotel a 4 stelle. Il signore alla reception è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Il personale è reperibile a qualsiasi ora. Le camere sono pulite: la nostra aveva la tv, il frighetto, 3 asciugamani a testa, phone per capelli, aria condizionata e spazio per appoggiare le cose. Diciamo che era una bella camera per essere un hotel 2 stelle. Inoltre il posto si trova nel centro di Perugia. Soddisfatti✌🏻
