"I booked this hotel because I wanted to watch Ishikawa Yuki's volleyball match in Perugia. I was able to get to the match venue in less than 30 minutes using the mini-metro. It was a very cute hotel, and the bathrooms were clean. Also, an espresso machine and bread were prepared in the room, and although I had to leave early the next day, I was grateful that I could get up early and have a leisurely breakfast. The only things that bothered me were the noise of the ventilation fan and the lack of curtains, but these weren't particularly big issues. Above all, the owner was very kind. He even told me what to do if I got home late after visiting tourist attractions or watching a volleyball match, so I was able to stay there in a very comfortable and safe environment."

The rooms at the Borgo Mandoleto were large and tastefully decorated in a countryside theme. The grounds were beautiful, and there were many places (including the swimming pool) to sit with a coffee or an aperitivo and soak-up the beautiful Umbrian countryside. There is a good restaurant next to the B&B, and several sites [Perugia, La Citta della Pieve, Lago di Trasimeno, and Solemeo (for a wonderful aperitivo)] are within a short drive. Donatella was a gracious hostess who served a nice breakfast (the tortes are not to be missed) with very good English."

"It is sold for what it is not. From the photos it looks like a classic style hotel with very elegant photos with tasteful furnishings that do not correspond to reality. It is a guesthouse as you find written at the entrance of the structure but not expressed on the booking platforms. Externally dilapidated structure. Internal and external fixtures that are falling apart. Rooms structured in a convent style. The student residences are less sad. Room assigned in the basement without having declared it during the booking phase. For breakfast I was embarrassed for the impression I made with foreign guests.. who said ... between their teeth.. real cheap... Breakfast consisting of coffee or cappuccino. A juice from a dispenser placed on a table and 1 croissant per person (frozen) filling to be decided the night before.. time 8.00 - 10. . 8.10 the servants arrive to clean the tables on the terrace and put the placemats. All guests religiously waiting. 20 minutes waiting for their turn like in a colony (maybe). Positive notes proximity to the center. Parking in the building (paid. By the way). Bathroom. new. renovated. with clean linen. The foreign guy at the reception very kind. Manager much less helpful. Not recommended. Unreasonable quality/price. Declare the building as a guesthouse so that people know what they are choosing."

"When I saw the reception I was a bit afraid of what the rooms would be like, even though I had read nothing but good reviews. But my room was fine and very neatly maintained. We were received very kindly. Breakfast is in a bar around the corner. Not very extensive but enough choice. We were also received very friendly there and everything was neatly explained. The location of the hotel is great. There are escalators across the hotel that lead you to the center. We will definitely come back again."

"Located just off Piazza Italia, if arriving in Perugia by train get the bus to Piazza Italia it is a lot easier. As we arrived one of the reception staff ran out to help us with our cases, great first impressions of the service which continued throughout the stay. The rooms are huge including the bathroom which was bigger than some hotel rooms I have stayed in! The room and hotel had a lovely relaxing atmosphere with no noise and high standards of cleaning, there was a quirky shaped cupboard in the room with a couple of Chocolates inside. . Amenities supplied include three restautants and a gym on or connected to the premises. Breakfast was in the main one a large elegant place with a very large range on offer which covered most requirements. This hotel was our favourite of the six we stayed in during our Italy trip, it was the most expensive but the best value."
