Castel d Arno was an amazing place to have our dream weeding! Situated on top of a hill over looking the Umbria valley with breathtaking views, Castel D Arno is an incredible building full of rustic Italian charm.. from inside to outside this place is magnificent. The welcome, support and kindness we received from Sergio and his beautiful wife Frederica has made our stay in castel d arno even more special and both of them helped us to realise the wedding of our dreams...and we are so proud to count them today as our friends. All our guests have been very impressed with castel d Arno and its owners and we all brought back home incredible memories. For many of us it has been the best holiday ever! The owners of Castel D'Arno are just just wonderful people with only the best interests of their clientele at heart. Sergio our host is a great person with a loving family and this shows with his approach to making your stay the best experience you could have. Our room was beautiful and reflected the atmosphere created by Castel D'Arno and we really felt that it was our home away from home when we were there. The site facilities with WiFi, swimming pool, laundry and parking were fantastic. We all loved the history of Castel D'Arno and especially having a rural feel with most modern facilities either on site or in the local town of Pianella where you can find fantastic Gelato and Pizza shops. We found there was nothing negative to report on our accommodation. Short trips to Perugia, Assissi and Spello and at the time of the year we went they had the Spello Flower Festival that was mind blowing. This is a great place and we WILL be returning soon. This is all thanks to the efforts of the present owners of Castel D'Arno.

We loved our stay in Castel D’Arno. The hosts are a very nice couple, always wanting to help. We’ve learned also a small part of an amazing history of this place from them. Staying in there was a very nice experience! The rooms are very clean, with clean towels and sheets. The bathrooms also very clean. All and all I definitely recommend the place!

Castel d’Arno was the most perfect accommodation and setting for my very first visit to Italy ! I loved the atmosphere, the location and especially the owners, who are the loveliest people. They make you feel so welcome and were so knowledgeable about the sights and places of interest. Perugia and Assisi are close and are amazingly beautiful places to visit. Hotel d’Arno is certainly highly recommended and I would love to stay again.

Una settimana di ferie in questo alloggio rurale veramente sorprendente, leggermente appartato ma con tutti i servizi disponibili a poche centinaia di metri. Abbiamo alloggiato nell'appartamento "all'orto" che è composto da cucina entrata camera da letto e bagno. I locali erano ovviamente in stile casale antico e dotati di tutto l'occorrente per il soggiorno, l'esterno era ampio e pulito sia negli arredi che nel giardino e a disposizione c'erano numerosi giochi per i bambini, due caminetti e piscina con sdraio. Le parti comuni interne della casa comprendevano anche una stanza solo per i bambini con giochi e televisione per le giornate di pioggia. Il parcheggio auto (dentro la proprietà del casale) era comunque separato dalla casa lasciando tranquillità e sicurezza (nel caso di bambini) per potersi godere il panorama. Abbiamo trovato il proprietario (Sergio) una persona estremamente cortese e disponibile a risolvere ogni nostra richiesta; ci ha addirittura accompagnati in una macelleria locale per la carne migliore. (che consiglio data la particolarità della zona). Nel complesso un alloggio assolutamente consigliato anche per la posizione che consente viaggi i in giornata nelle città vicine.

La location è a dir poco suggestiva. Le stanze sono dislocate all'interno dell'antico castello che, a ben vedere, ha una storia davvero affascinante. Il sito in sè ha origini antichissime. Ci ha dormito un papa, è stato il covo di uno dei più temibili briganti, roccaforte difensiva degli abitanti del luogo e, come ogni buon castello che si rispetti, c'è anche una storia di fantasmi che rende più affascinante il luogo. Ogni stanza è diversa e peculiare ma ciò che le accomuna sono gli ampi spazi confortevolissimi e l'immersione nella storia. La piscina poi, inutile dire, è stata un successone per grandi e piccini. Il panorama incantevole dà sulla vallata che il castello difendeva nei secoli scorsi. Comodissima l'ampia cucina e le varie sale per i pasti: c'è davvero tutto quello che serve ed anche di più sia a livello di elettrodomestici che di stoviglie anche per un gruppo di 30 persone come lo eravamo noi!
