Spent an excellent 2 nights at the Silver Cloud as the start of my holiday in Bhutan. Super friendly and helpful owner and staff. They organised a great couple of days for me to really get a flavour of the Paro region. The room was very comfortable, thoughtfully pre warmed. Had my main meals here also. Totally recommend staying here, great value and comfort. If heading to Bhutan would not hesitate to book again.

If you are in Paro, stay at Silver Cloud Hotel. Apart from being a beautiful property, the teams started from Front office to F&B to the owner(Karma) they are fantastic people. The property has a backyard which gives you an opportunity to relax in a nice sunny weather. The rooms and bathrooms are really clean. The property is very near to airport and of course the main tourist attraction in Paro which is Tiger’s nest. Thanks to chef we absolutely didn’t miss the Indian food. One more thing I would recommend is take a day off from travelling and stay at the property for a day, you will definitely enjoy it. They are growing and adding more rooms to the property so bring as many people as possible here. Definitely a recommend if you are looking for a superb stay in Paro.

Such friendly staff and excellent food! Good WiFi and hot showers. This is very close to the tigers nest, which was about a 10-15 minute drive. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were large enough for the two of us. I definitely recommend this hotel!

I have mixed feelings on this property. I have heard that it is a newer hotel, so they just need help with a few areas, then it will be a great stay. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and charming and really wanted us to be comfortable. But they lack a few things to make us really comfortable. The beds were really uncomfortable....ours drooped in the middle making it really tough for a belly-sleeper. There were so many light switches, it was a challenge to find which ones did what. Labels would really help here. There was no extra roll of toilet paper, so it was quite awkward when the roll was empty and someone needed more TP. We eventually found an extra roll in the closet, but why there? It needs to be in the bathroom. Wished there were more hangers. One hanger isn't enough for a couple to use. Food here was just OK. Bar service was just OK; the issues was drinks weren't cold and we all wanted cold drinks after a hot day in teh sun. The back yard was beautiful...very lovely setting. Bathroom had a funky smell in it, each time that we returned to the room. We opened windows and aired it out and smell disappeared. It reminded us as if the plumbing was all connected, smells and everything.

Located in Paro near the Tiger Nest trekking site.. Spacious Rooms. Excellent food.. Helpful staffs.. General Store to buy essentials.. Cafe to hangout with friends.. Bar to have a couple of drinks.. Backyard to enjoy a bon fire.. What more does one need!

The rooms are clean, the staff each and every one of them are very friendly, welcoming, warm and hospitable. The hotel is located nearer to tiger’s nest and away from the central town area. They gave great advice about hiking up tiger’s nest and also packed breakfast! Their meals are fabulous, the chef does an excellent job of preparing Bhutanese cuisine catered for foreigners - it is worth staying at Silver Cloud just for the meals! The hotel is nearby the river and the hotel manager very kindly brought me for a walk to see the river when I made a sudden request. The staff go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. One evening they bought Raven brand Bhutanese red wine when requested. I forgot my things in the room when I checked out and they quickly called my guide to inform me - very grateful for this thoughtfulness. The best aspect of Silver Cloud is they seek feedback and try to improve what is already a very good 3-star accommodation. There is no need to stay in the town area as the shops are repetitive and it is noisier - staying at Silver Cloud was peaceful and tranquil, highly recommend!

Very big rooms, large and confortable bed, very good location (Tiger nest monastery, hot Stone bath) However the best point is the restaurant-excellent chef, Bhutanese and Indian cuisine), local beer but also red wine, very nice people at reception desk and in restaurant

Such an amazing place to relax! Cozy restaurant with food over the top notch. I loved the place and their service is outstanding. Rooms are specious and perfectly furnished with modern amenities. If you are looking for a class hotel for your weekend getaway or holiday, Silver Cloud is definitely a place to relax. Backyard is a real place to relax.

I sincerely advocate anyone who plans to travel to Bhutan (either on your own or by agent) MUST talk with Karma, the owner of this hotel. I compared the quotes (private rides and tour guide) from more than 10 agents, and Karma gave me the lowest and fairest, which is 1/3 or 1/4 of some "more seemingly high-end" tour agencies. Besides, she is extremely responsive and caring. Back to the hotel room, this hotel is THE MOST Cost-effectiveness hotel in entire Bhutan --- you get more than you paid. It is clean with fair price and amazing service. Last, the social classes in Bhutan is dramatically split. You can see extremely foreign travelers coming here, burning their dollars in a $1000+ USD hotel while the locals are barely making the minimum wages. I sincerely hope that whoever are viewing my reviews might take a chance to reach out to locals like Karma and her friends and take their service, who are hardworking and genuine.
