TTamuA very classic hotel, a bit shabby and old-fashioned at the price of a premium hotel. Really too expensive compared to the service offered..
The paid parking lot (900 yen/day) is not big enough, when it is full, you have to go to a private parking lot not far from the hotel, and then go to the reception to get a free voucher. Very impractical...
The breakfast is good, especially for seafood (except coffee and pastries), but the room is too small compared to the capacity of the hotel. People often queue to access it.

The lounge is a lovely space to relax, and the breakfast offers a great variety of delicious food. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, ensuring a restful stay.

TTamuThis hotel is very new, local next to the bus terminal and actually part of the hotel is used for the bus office / terminal. They provide free drinks (including alcohol) from 3pm to 9pm in the restaurant, enjoy when it is available.
The breakfast has a limited choice, but it is a buffet. The public bath is shared between men and women with time slots. Around 300 yen for washing but drying is free. The room was rather small but they put a huge double decker bed with a king size bed in the bottom, it was a comfortable sleep but not much room to move in the room. Key is using a number lock system which is quite interesting. A super huge TV in the room mounted to the wall. My room is facing east and I able to see sunrise in the morning.
Note that there are quite a few pot holes from the train station to the hotel. During that day, when I move my luggage to the hotel, the wheels get stuck into a new filled pot hole and travellers need to be aware.

BBrianDellIt was not entirely clear at time of booking whether I would be assigned a dorm bed and arrived prepared to be so assigned. I believe the situation is the dorm is reserved for group reservations so you normally be assigned a private room with shared bathroom. This made the room a great value and a memorable stay.

TTamuThe front of the hotel looks nice but inside is old. The dinner is good but breakfast is soso. Will not stay here again as the room is overpriced. Lake Akan cruise centre is just behind the hotel n Ainu village is just 2min walk away. Location of hotel is very good.

TTamuGood location. 5-min walk from the JR station.
Staff could not speak English. Room was very small. The hotel almost kissed the building of next door for those rooms below 5th floor. I was on the 4th floor, hence, I could only see the outside environment from a very narrow gap. WIFI was not strong in every part of the room. Be patient to walk around for the stronger WIFI connection. Not many shops around.

TTamuLocation- on other end of the row of hotels around Lake Akan boat cruise area so it is further away from the Ainu Kotan (Village) and convenience store. But boat cruise has 2 embarkation points, with one just a few minutes walk on the left of the hotel entrance so this is ok. Also a short walk to the Bokke (bubbling mud).
Only negative point is that the carpark lots are limited so we had to use the hotel shuttle to go to and from the car parked in an open space about a block away.
Winning point is the roof-top open-air public bath; it is a mixed gender public bath accessible separately from the male and female indoor baths which provides elastic banded tops and shorts to wear before going to the mixed gender pool. Allowed us to meet there to enjoy the beautiful sunset, mountains and lake views.
Buffet breakfast and dinners were excellent; even though alcohol was not included unlike another hotel which we stayed in, there was plenty of food variety which were fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this hotel.

TTamu5月に初めて利用させていただきました。
駐車場も広く、大浴場もいい感じだったので今回は迷わず予約しました。駅まで歩いてすぐの距離なのでホームにある湿原の鐘、綺麗な夕日も見れました。
朝食は広々としていてガラス越しに朝日も入り、1日の始まりには良いですね。スタッフさんも感じの良い方ばかりで是非また行きたいと思ってます。
部屋からの眺めも良かったです。
