Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais

You know that perfect little hotel you're looking for in Paris? Charming, small, great location, warm staff, decent rate? This is it. My highest praise goes to the staff. They were patient in handling our 6-person group's issue with rooms - we ended up adding a fourth room because we wanted more space. We shuffled rooms for a couple hours on the day we arrived, and they were patient and gracious. Then when one of our group fell ill and needed a doctor - eventually an ER visit - the staff was again indispensable. They were also wonderful helping find a restaurant for a birthday dinner and a place to buy a cheap suitcase, and calling taxis. I miss them, actually! They were by far a highlight of the trip! Thank you, Etienne and Genevieve! You set a high standard for hospitality. My family had four rooms, so we saw all the room categories. A couple were tight for two people and luggage, but I loved room 60. Room 31 had two twin beds and a bigger bathroom. Some rooms have a tub/shower combo and others just have a stand-up shower, and they are tight. Overall, rooms are on the smaller size, but they make up for it in quality and style. The beds are extremely comfortable. Loved the location in the Marias. We hit the jazz club around the corner for a jam session, took the staff recommendations for the best restaurants in the vicinity, and filled up on Parisian charm and shopping in the surrounding streets. We went to Au Bourguignon twice for the beef bourguignon. Les Philosophes was also a gem of a bistro, a Genevieve recommendation. It's one block off Rivoli and close to the Seine for an evening stroll. Fantastic location. This was our second visit, and I look forward to coming back.

I have been wanting to stay at the Caron de Beaumarchais for years and finally had the chance two weeks ago. The hotel is perfectly situated just off the rue de Rivoli but was still very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the staff were all warm and professional. I recommend picking one of the street facing rooms so you can see Paris from your window. There are great restaurants along the rue Vielle du Temple and along the charming streets of the neighborhood. The hotel is also easy walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay. Highly recommended!!

We enjoyed our 4 night in Paris at this wonderful boutique hotel. Alan, the owner is the most gracious host. His restaurant and bakery recommendations were perfect. The hotel is perfectly located with nearby shopping and dining, all within walking distance on a quiet street. The bed was comfortable l, the bathroom had excellent water pressure and I especially enjoyed the bathrobes.

This is such a lovely small hotel in the Marais. The location is perfect, only a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. The area is beautiful and safe with lots of good restaurants nearby. The owner Alain greeted us on arrival. The decor is so charming. Staff was friendly and helpful, the room and bed were comfortable and it was incredibly quiet for the middle of Paris. Metro stop is 5 minutes away. I would highly recommend staying here for the ultimate Paris experience.

Great location (so walkable), wonderful period correct decorations, staff that remember your room/name, a real wood fireplace in the lobby, daily maid service, breakfast to your room upon request. This will ALWAYS and FOREVER be our Paris hotel.

Twenty-three years ago, my wife and I honeymooned in Paris and stayed at the Caron de Beaumarchais. It was quaint, centrally located and the staff was fantastic. We returned this past December to celebrate my wife’s birthday. This hotel has remained fantastic. As a novice French speaker, I wanted to improve my skills. The staff were all patient and helped me to be better at assimilating into the French culture. My recommendation is to choose a room with a balcony overlooking the street. It was great sitting out there with some wine and cheese and watch Paris. Our room was comfortable and had four USB ports to charge our phones and iPad. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! We had it delivered every morning to our room. A special thank you to Remy for all of his help!

What a magical place! Lovingly decorated to create a fun nostalgic environment, decent size rooms for Paris, wonderful view, delicious breakfast and lovely staff. We had a wonderful one night stay. Thank you so much for making it an absolute pleasure.

My experience at this incredibly wonderful hotel was (so far) the best of my life and I am 84 years old. The location in Le Marais (3rd. and 4th Arrondisements) was ideal for me. The hotel atmosphere was such that I woke up in the morning singing the happiest songs! I enjoyed a delicious, abundant healthy breakfast every morning. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I loved this hotel. Can hardly wait to go back again in April. I was at the Hotel Caron from October 14th until the 21st.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I stayed at the front-view room. The best thing I like is that they can bring breakfast to your room with no extra cost. The breakfast itself was 13 euro. I got to sit at the balcony almost every morning and had breakfast while watching Paris. I felt like I did not want to check out. Not many hotels make me feel this way. I developed an emotional attachment to it. I really recommend paying more to stay at the front-view room for this reason if one can afford more. The staff was very attentive, professional, courteous, well-mannered, helpful and welcoming. I felt well-taken care of. Also, all my emails prior to the stay were responded within the next day when I reached out to them. The lobby was charming with a lot of character and tastefully decorated. The hotel rooms are charming too. The location is very convenient and safe. I also like that their room rates are fixed and do not fluctuate. The rates are also reasonable in Paris standard for what it has to offer. The rooms are very clean also with sufficient electrical and also USB outlets. I had an enjoyable 9-night stay there. I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again for my future visit.
