Firstly, I must state I am not a hotel grader, and I have made some statements here based on similar rated hotels we have frequented on previous holidays. Also what we like / dislike may is based on own tastes and therefore we are not going to say (for example) "the food was terrible" whereas we may say "we didnt like the food". What we liked - The breakfast selection we liked, with the usual selection of continental breakfast and that strange euro bacon. I personally had omelette or egg on toast most days. My wife had boiled egg on toast. We really enjoyed the view over the bay. The room was perfectly adequate with a fully functioning air conditioning and very clean with housekeeping daily. We enjoyed the pool and more specifically we utilised the bala beds for 3 days which were VERY comfortable. We found free sunbeds / bala beds every day, so no early morning racing for a bed! The soup was really nice, especially the potato soup. What we did not like - Food - the lunch and evening meals were very limited to pork or chicken. Although we really tried to give it a chance, we thought the variety was poor and the quality was not great. The chips were either luke warm or cold, never hot. I personally ate lots of salad & bread, and we actually ate out for 3 of the 6 nights. What was particularly strange was the bar meals you could order and pay for looked really lovely. This (we believed) was due to our all inclusive meals being of a lower quality. The snack bar we felt was poor, with a limited selection of mini croissants and a few cakes. I compare to other 4* hotels I have stayed at recently, where hot buffets items were available in the afternoon. The ice cream was help yourself, and with little children helping themselves and licking the scoop in front of you, it was a no from me. Drinks - again as a comparison, the soft drinks were not branded, and were not as nice as other holiday offering coke / coke zero / sprite etc. There was no self serve so you received small wine glass sized drinks in the food hall. 2 mouthfuls and mine were gone (I do have a big mouth). Location - the view was lovely, however the location which was 1KM from the beach (we measured it on our smart watches) was restricting. The steep downhill walk gave us sore calfs, and we never even attempted the walk back. The cabs were fixed at 5 euro and we spent circa 30 euro on fares + tips. There was a shuttle bus which goes to the beach and back, however it stops for the midday period, and the last bus is 7.00pm and 7.15 back. This we believe was too early with the dinner times being 6.30 - 9.00. Also the walk is down narrow streets with no pavements and what I would describe as ******al driving. I was scared in the cab / shuttle and I am not easily scared! A minor point which we must raise was the lack of room for when the bad weather rolled in. We unfortunately had a couple of days of wind & rain and the bar area was packed, with on 1 day no tables. So we had to pop o
