Palazzo Planeta

This is a charming place in a great location. The staff went out of their way to assist us. It is clean and well appointed, very comfortable. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us upon check in and wonderful bath products for our use. I would 100% stay here again.

Lovely apartment building very near the centre of Palermo. Staff were incredibly helpful before and on arrival. The two bedroom apartment was clean, provided excellent toiletries and complimentary wine and water. The kitchen was well-equipped. My only concern would be the road noise which was particularly bad on one night. Definitely recommend a stay.

We stayed in a lovely, spacious apartment on the fourth floor. We were a family of four and had plenty of space. The apartment was impeccably clean, very well equipped, including two bathrooms, kitchen with all appliances, spacious lounge TV, Wi-Fi, etc. Location is excellent – 2 minutes from the Teatro Politeamo and shopping streets, only 10 minutes from Teatro Massimo, and the Vucciara district and 15 minutes from Quattro Canti and Palazzo dei Normani. On street parking outside, although you’ll do well to find a space and private car park with valet parking only one minute walk away. Lots of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Alessia was super helpful when we made the booking and checking in, giving us tips on where to go and see, etc.

This stay was by far one of our favourites. The balcony’s opened up to a beautiful view of Palermo streets and the cleanliness of the rooms/bathrooms was exceptional. The kitchen had everything (oven, dishwasher, washing machine, sink, microwave, fridge) and utensils. Alessia, the host could speak English and was super accommodating. She recommended us tours, sent us links to hire umbrellas at Mondello and re-suppled kitchen materials. The location of the stay is convenient, and there is free parking outside (however you would be lucky to find a park) plus, the supermarket is just down the road. Would 100% stay here again, if you’re looking for a Modern Italian Apartment with sensational views.

We traveled with our toddler to this hotel and arrived via car. While driving in Sicily is not easy, the hotel suggested a close parking garage that we were in and out of very quickly. The hotel was in a great location across the street from a long pedestrian lane with some good restaurant/cafe options and food markets. It is a bit of a walk from all of the popular sights in Palermo but it’s only about a 10 min easy walk. The staff was extremely responsive and helpful, even helping us with a few questions we had during our stay…be prepared to use WhatsApp in Sicily, it’s how we instantly communicated with the staff. The wine left for us in the room was a nice touch. Be prepared to supply your own basic necessities (bottled water, paper towel, laundry soap, etc) but there is a market so close that it’s easy. Giada is the cafe right outside the hotel, great spot for breakfast. They also provided crib and bedding for our toddler. Would stay here again!

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana in coppia presso Palazzo Planeta. Appartamento pulito, ben arredato e moderno in un palazzo storico in centro città appartenente alla famiglia Planeta, famosa in tutta la Sicilia per il buonissimo vino. Un grazie a Mariella e Alessandro per la loro assistenza e cordialità. Faremo sicuramente ritorno!!
