Milodge Elqui Domos

Our experience at Elqui Domos was nothing short of magical. Highly recommended! Starting with the drive from La serena and getting to the wonderful mountainous area of Los Andes, the view, the colours and the terrain is just breathtaking. Arriving at Domos, Camila was great, she made us feel welcome and was very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were great (our group had a Dome type and an observatory cabin). Both with clean bathrooms and wonderfully comfortable beds and sitting area. Morning breakfast and attention was great, they clearly wanted to accommodate our group by placing our tables together and being ready with coffee, tea, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, fresh bread, and preserves. Never felt rushed. We booked an Astro-Tour in English, and they delivered not only a great tour, but their knowledge and enthusiasm was so evident and refreshing. What a great team they make. The experience of being so close to the stars If anyone has the opportunity to visit, do not pass it up.

Very sweet place run by very kind and gracious hosts. They serve a great breakfast and will even make you dinner at the end of the day. Lovely.

Domos are gorgeous, chilling out on bed while enjoying the moon and the stars is a memorable experience. Karina, Angelica, and Chari always kept our Domos clean and tidy. Hot or cold, the shower always had plenty of fresh water and the air conditioning did the job very well. The place has multiple areas for social activities surrounded by nature. Its cozy restaurant made us feel welcomed by really friendly and warm staff within a chill and cool atmosphere. We enjoy a wide range of delicious vegan dishes, beautiful presentations, and tasty desserts. So to summarise, The MI LODGE ELQUI DOMOS hotel's team members have left the best impression. Great place, great service, value for money, and in an excellent location. Thank you very much guys See you next time!

No value for money, the domes with its hatch are not worth the price. The orientation is wrong so when we opened the hatch, there was not a lot to see unless you would stand on the bed. The pool is nice to relax and it was a good breakfast. WiFi is only at the reception, not at the domes

If the idea of sleeping under the stars in a dome with a hatch to the sky is appealing then AVOID this place and look at some other offerings in the Elqui Valley: We arrived and were met by a very helpful member of staff. She showed us to our dome which was up a slope. We were thankful it was the first dome as it would have been tricky to get all our luggage up to the top dome as no help is offered. The dome was unbearably hot. Would it have been too much to ask for the air on to have been put on an hour before we arrived. A simple enough gesture to make a customer feel valued! The dome was pleasant enough but there is really no service by any staff and in particular the manager was rude at best. Having ordered dinner - having received the “meme” over WhatsApp!!! With no prices and limited choice we waited for over an hour to be served. I don’t know if this was because the WhatsApp order hadn’t reached the kitchen, due to the intermittent WIFI or the incompetent staff- turns - out it was the staff. Having waited for an hour and observing other guests receiving food that was not offered to us on the WhatsApp menu we were greeted with a shoe sole (they called it steak) and a Salmon that was still trying to get back to the river, accompanied by purple playdoh (apparently this was risotto ) Having complained and left for the evening we were greeting in the morning by a sub standard breakfast and the manager who chose not to engage and address any issues we had raised. In fact as we checked out, mid transaction the manager left to answer a question of a other guest. My partner processed the credit card machine herself, took the receipt and we left. I have stayed in better fields, in winter. AVOID

Domos Elquis is not a hotel since does not provide services. Cleaning services is only once every two days. Restaurante and observatory are closed (while everything is opened outside the hotel). Breakfast is very basic (no fruit, cereals, etc...) and served from only one hour. Reception closes at 8pm and all facilities are closed after this time. Extremelly bad experience.

Una vista maravillosa de las estrellas al dormir. La piscina y el Desayuno para disfrutar. Una atención plena de cariño y esmero. Lo más increíble y digno de destacar es que olvidé 4 joyas de oro en el velador y me llamaron para informar que los habían encontrado y poder devolverlos. Felicitaciones y muy agradecida de su honestidad por unos artículos que más que su valor económico, tenía un valor sentimental invaluable.

La verdad que por el precio creo que no vale totalmente la pena, la gran gracia del domo es poder abrirlo en la noche y poder ver las estrellas, pero te llenas de zancudos y es imposible dormir (al otro día tuvimos que literalmente bañar en Raid el domo para poder dormir tranquilamente) y además son muy calurosos en verano. El baño nuestro se le salía toda el agua y dejaba todo mojado. El desayuno era bueno/casero, pero honestamente por lo que se paga, debiese ser tipo buffet, por otra parte, el domo principal donde sirven el desayuno también, muy caluroso, por ejemplo se veía la mantequilla derretida/yogures tibios, poca preocupación en ese sentido con los detalles en el servicio que marcan la diferencia. Para mi la relación precio-experiencia no fue satisfactoria, creo que pueden haber mejores opciones en el valle e incluso a un precio más conveniente
