It’s ok hotel. But the some staffs are not that friendly. It’s really difficult to deal things. It’s just some staff and some staffs are good too. So it depends on which staff you are dealing with

The place is ok, it’s a bit far from the city center. Out if 10 I can give 7

A little odd layout. Three buildings which led to us walking quite a way to our room But the room was clean and tidy and comfortable. The receptionist was charming

The hotel was clean and staff were friendly, however I would advise against going to the beefeater for breakfast, it was disgusting, the lady who greeted us was very rude and abrupt, the selection of food was very poor, bacon and eggs not even cooked, there was no juice left, the coffee was cold and I was very disappointed

I usually stay in Premier Inns as you know what to expect. A clean room, a good sleep, parking and reasonably priced. This was a disappointing stay . As a solo female, I did not feel safe finding my allocated room as it was in an unmanned annex and was on the first floor at the end of a very long walk along unlit corridors. I had been awake since early that morning, had a long drive and a busy day so all I wanted to do was unpack, have a shower and a good sleep. I did however go and move my car to a spot near the room as it was parked in a far away car park. Later that evening I discovered that the main room lights didn’t work, but I could manage without so let it go. I was staying for two nights and had another busy day ahead, I could have asked for a room change but couldn’t be bothered to move my things and the hotel looked very busy. If I do visit Oxford again, I would definitely look at staying elsewhere. Definitely not up to the usual standards you get at a Premier Inn.

We wont be stopping here again The building is very tired, staff don’t care, we were in a wing out by the restaurant which feels like a prison camp, windows won’t open, extractor fan in shower doesn’t work so paint peeling off ceiling and black mould growing. Cups and glasses needed a wash BEFORE we used them. Both woke up with aching backs as bed was uncomfortable - not usually a problem with premier inn Breakfast was a shambles. They’d run out of juice, bacon was scrag ends, asked for poached eggs which arrived AFTER we’d finished eating as not enough staff on, kids running around everywhere Couldn’t wait to leave

We got great service when we checked in after a long tiring journey . Silva who was on reception could see we were pretty exhausted and changed us to a ground floor room near reception so we didn’t have to lug our bags to another block and climb stairs . A thoughtful gesture - very much appreciated !

Poor standards no choice for vegetarians at breakfast wifi was awful but if you paid extra it was good

Great hotel - fab location for Oxford - short trip on the bus. Would return. Amazing breakfast as always.

Mixed feelings about Premier Inn Cowley. We booked a Premier Plus room as staying for 4 nights and, having stayed in many many PI’s for work we wanted the extras and comfort for a slightly longer stay. We were initially given a room on the first floor which seemed at first ok until the guests moved in upstairs. I’m sure they weren’t being particularly or deliberately noisy but the soundproofing was non-existent and we could hear them until 1:00am. To add to that the mattress was uncomfortable and lumpy and not the king size as listed on their website, it’s a small double at best. Even in a regular PI room we’ve always had a king size bed. The shower was a trickle and couldn’t be turned down and the air-con didn’t work and kept cutting out so the room was stuffy. Anyway, we requested to move to the upper floor which was agreed (albeit reluctantly and with a bit of fuss). We had to move out of our first room at 12 but we were going out anyway so that was fine and they moved our cases to the new room which was a pleasant surprise. The new room was slightly better in that we didn’t have the stomping and noise from above. The bed was way comfier but still only double but at least it wasn’t lumpy. The air-con worked but couldn’t be set below 19 degrees which is still warm? We set our heating at home to 18 degrees. The bathroom was grubby with yellow grout and mould and the shower temperature couldn’t be turned down so was too hot for me, it also needs de-scaling as the jets shot about all over the place in different directions! We did ask for our room to be cleaned every day but that only happened once when we asked - maybe because we moved rooms. It was cleaned well though and felt cleaner than when we first moved in! Didn’t bother with the beefeater next door to eat as to access had to walk through the dirty smoking area, we did grab a drink one night but the place looked filthy quite frankly. There’s not much choice in the area but we drove into Oxford or elsewhere. On the whole, the hotel was well positioned for what we needed but seems tired and rundown compared to other Premier Inns we’ve stayed in. The Premier Plus rooms are not the same as other plus rooms we’ve stayed in - smaller beds, no powerful shower etc although we did get the extras - water, chocolate etc but only when we asked so didn’t get everyday. Most staff we came across were ok, a couple weren’t but I guess it’s not the easiest job. It’s obviously a very busy hotel - it’s huge - and we did feel it was understaffed. Wojldnt go back and are beginning to question the value of premier inn in general recently. It used to be a great value option where you could be guaranteed a comfy bed and powerful, clean shower. The prices seemed to have shot up recently with a dramatic decrease in standards. All the little ******* we experienced wouldn’t be an issue if it was still a low cost option but it’s not….

Room decor is very tired, aircon not working, bed mattress very uncomfortable. Breakfast was low quality, no real fruit juice! really?? For the money this was very poor

Never disappointed with Premier Inn. Staff were super friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. Well appointed and spacious. Shower was good - always an indication of whether I'll come back! Despite being near a busy road the location was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was recommended to us by family who live locally in Iffley. Easy to get to and close to Oxford. It has plenty of parking (make sure of input ting car reg and number of nights stay on the key pad in front of reception desk). Bus stops outside or short walk to catch busses to Oxford Centre. We stayed in premiere plus room which was a really good size and very quiet. It was very hot while we were there (27 deg), so glad of air con and fridge. Spotless hotel with a fresh perfumed smell throughout. Great large walk in shower and fabulous comfy bed. Brilliant hot or continental breakfasts. We had evening meal first night, plenty of hot and tasty choices. Staff at this hotel made us feel very welcome and chatted with us even though the restaurant could be very busy at peak times. Mini factory visitors centre is close and there's a big modern science building nearby. My family member told us lots of their visiting delegates use this hotel. Definitely would use this hotel again, prob one of the best premier hotels in my opinion. There was a good mix of people staying there, couples, families, workers and holiday makers, altogether making a really good all round atmosphere. Mr and Mrs Howarth. Preston Lancashire
