The rooms doors are facing outside the building, so there is no any lobby or security check. I feel it was a bit unsafe. There is no any breakfast area (you need to collect the breakfast in a paper bag at the reception before 09:00 AM), so it is not very convinient. But the area seem a safe area.

First time we stayed here. Our room was clean all fixtures in good service. It was located on the same side as the office. The motel is 4 minutes from the KU surgical center that we were there for. Very handy However while staying there for one night again 6-11-23 they put us in Room 110 on the opposite side of the building. Most of the one was clean. However the bedroom wall had what appeared to have dried blood on the wall with paint touchups of a different color . The bathtub drain was non working in the sense it would not function to hold water. Very obvious. The shower tiles had been busted in several spots as if someone had been in a fight or fell. They had tried to cover it up with caulking. Bathroom walls was touched up with mismatching paint. I am amazed Ed that Days Inn corporate would even approve this place with their name on it it appears as if the rooms are being used for extended stays on construction workers. Staff was polite .. our use of Trip .com was perfect .

Motel lobby and breakfast area both closed in February 2023 door signed “closed due to Covid”. Appears real reason is just to save upkeep cost. Cold breakfast consists of 2 bars a package of low cost muffins and a tangerine. Room had missing facial tissues, missing wash cloth, stained carpet, damaged window covering. Dogs allowed and I got to listen to a barking dog all evening. Needless to say I’m going to choose other lodging in this area in the future.

I should have stayed in my car honestly. First part that put me off was the lobby. Closed off with only a protective glass barrier to speak to someone. The true lobby was beyond a locked door and there were multiple boxes stacked up in there of stuff. Not sure what. Finally get to my room and at first glance, I knew I would be using the towels to sleep on top of the sheets and never taking my shoes off. The wood headboard had dried up stuff on it. Pretty sure I can surmise what that biological hazard was, given it was opaque white in color 🤢🤮. The pillows were the size of a postage stamp and the bed so soft that I felt like I was rolling into the middle and sinking. There was a nail sticking out of the bathroom floor, that I did step on when trying to get into the shower and only using the ripped in half towel to use as a bath mat. Water pressure was good. The bathroom fan didn’t work so the humidity level was horrible in the room even when taking a cold shower. Felt like I should have been paying by the hour back in the 70’s on the Deuce. Won’t be back ever. I should have pitched a tent, because at least then I wouldn’t have constant intrusive thoughts of potentially taking home bed bugs and thinking about my back pain so I never got any sleep. Legit, I only brought in my stuff to place on the desk which I then used what I needed and packed up to keep in my car overnight. Didn’t want to risk it. I understand that this is an affordable option - one I didn’t choose as it was paid for by another for my help down in KC with their business - but NEVER AGAIN. DON’T DO IT.
