A l Ami Fritz

Ottrott is a pretty and quiet village in the Vosges mountains and popular with hikers and visitors to the monastery and castles nearby. Worth visiting. The rooms are medium size. Shower-room good size. A smart restaurant serving dishes more in liking with Bavarian food, sauerkraut, wiener schnitzel, sausage and other dishes. Good staff and professional. A building project behind the hotel is in progress. This may be negative but we were not staying around the hotel during the day and it did not bother us. There is a courtyard in-front of the hotel for eating and drinking, otherwise the hotel has no garden.

A very pretty quiet village in a popular walking area due to the ruined castles and monastery in the hills around. The hotel is in a great location, the concierge very helpful and rooms clean and good standard. At present there are building works next door so the peace is disturbed during the day. I cannot say it was much of a problem as we were not at the hotel during the day hours but out walking. The restaurant menu swings towards veal, sauerkraut and dumplings. Breakfast was functional and could easily be improved with more variety.

Away from the touristy areas of Alsace, a lovely and comfortable hotel with parking! We had a quiet room overlooking the half timber building across the narrow lane. We really came for Michelin restaurant, which was super. We really felt that we were out in wine country here.

The L'Ami Fritz was our first night's accommodation as part of a bike tour. It was a lovely hotel and our room was very spacious and nicely soundproofed. We ate dinner in the hotel's restaurant and had a very enjoyable meal that catered for my food allergies. Breakfast was in the restaurant too and provided great buffet with Nespresso coffee available.

This hotel was amazing and the room we had with a small private balcony was wonderful. They also have a wonderful breakfast and a beautiful private spa facility with Jacuzzi tub, sauna and steam room that you can reserve! Staff was SENSATIONAL and would recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone who wants to have a wonderful and quiet getaway

Achtung Baustelle! Uns war das Restaurant und das Hotel l‘Ami Fritz empfohlen worden. Welche Enttäuschung als wir bei unserer Ankunft feststellen mussten, dass es keinen Garten mehr gab, stattdessen aber eine nicht zu übersehende und überhörende Baustelle. Das von uns gebuchte DELUXE Zimmer entpuppte sich als großer dunkler Flur mit kleinem Zimmer, welches Null Charme hatte, dafür Aussicht auf die Baustelle. Im Bad keine Ablagemöglichkeit, keinen angebrachten Vergrösserungsspiegel (einen kleinen vorhandenen musste man in die Hand nehmen), eine Badewanne als Dusche mit einem viel zu schweren Duschkopf, den man festhalten musste, keinen Waschlappen und keine Körpermilch. Die separate Toilette eng und ohne Waschbecken. Im langen Flur keine Garderobe, kein Spiegel, keine Ablagemöglichkeit, einfach nichts! Das Frühstück war lieblos, Eierspeisen konnte man nicht bestellen, der Obstsalat war nicht frisch, abgepackte Butter, die Atmosphäre wie in einer Bahnhofshalle, der man schnell wieder entfliehen wollte. Die Küche im Restaurant war nicht schlecht, das Servicepersonal nicht motiviert. Kurzum: alles in allem von uns nicht weiter zu empfehlen!

Sejour haut de gamme dans un établissement de grande qualité. Que ce soit la chambre, le sejour ou le repas, absolument tout est impeccable. Bravo a toute l’equipe!!

Wir waren auf der Durchreise nach Strassburg, suchten eine komfortable Unterkunft und gute Hotellerie. L‘ami Fritz war in einem alten Reiseführer empfohlen. Es begrüsste uns eine leicht hochnäsige Rezeptionistin, die sagte, man habe nur noch eine Suite zu 195+12.20€, und leider sei das Restaurant heute geschlossen. Wir schauten das Zimmer an: ein einziger Raum mit Doppelbett und einem Klappbett in der Ecke, Badezimmer und gefangenes, fensterloses WC. Wir sagten zu. Es stellte sich heraus, dass keine Bademäntel und keine Slipper vorhanden waren, keine Bodylotion, keine Lavetten. Der Haartrockner war zerbrochen (Siehe Fotos). Die WC-Tür liess sich nur halb öffnen, der Ventilator funktionierte nicht (die Gerüche zogen entsprechend nicht ab). Die Minibar enthielt lediglich 2 Flaschen Mineralwasser. Das Bett war befriedigend. Auf die Mängel hingewiesen, offerierte man einen Rabatt von 10%. Das Zimmer war maximal 100€ wert. Nie wieder Ami Fritz!
