We stayed 2 wonderful nights in Sopa. A large restaurant offers great variety of food (including both local and western-style cuisine) and all their staff is very friendly and professional. They provide face masks and encourage customers to wear them by the buffet, when serving food. The rooms are spacious, very well maintained, they apply mosquito spray every evening. Renting a hair dryer wasn't a problem, just ask at the reception (deposit was $20). Our room was located approx. 5 mins walk from the main building and climbing it felt a bit like climbing a Kilimanjaro (as one of the Massai carrying our luggage jokingly said). Altitude is 2100m so if you are feeling a bit unfit, you may want to ask for a room that doesn't require going uphill. As usual in the parks, electricity is from a generator but it is offline while you are going to be in the park, so it should not be a problem :-) Before their guests leave for afternoon game drive, complimentary coffee&tea (plus something sweet as well!) are available in a common lounge with a fireplace and a bar. People gather there also in the evenings to chat, socialize, or enjoy an animation programme.
