We stayed at the Posthotel during the last New Year Holidays, and though our first impact was not so good, our stay ended well, and that's why our judgement is split in 2 parts. Let's start with the good one: - the Hotel is very nice. In the landscape of Oetz (frankly, not the most charming village in the Region), the building presents itself as very well decorated; warm with all the wood parts at the reception; modernly equipped with a very practical and clean underground parking. - reception is very kind and people at the desk are always there to listen - and they speak an excellent English - Rooms were quite spacious (we are a 3 people family), warm, very well decorated and very very well insulated from external noise - the hotel welcomes family with kids but we have never hear noise from neighbors. - The wellness part: external pool is very nice, well heated, even better than the internal one. Actually, if you really want to find a defect, that is the temperature gap from outside to inside: it was much colder inside. But that's probably a personal feeling - The bar at the reception level: Top! Beautiful wooded parts, nice atmosphere, it gives a great feeling of community even for not-German speakers. Excellent! Now the second part, which ended in an ok-way but didn't fill our expectations: the restaurant. Here, our experience has not been positive: - Among the waiters, only very few speak a good English and are able to answer a bit-more-than-basic requests - At breakfast there is basically no service at the table. Everything is on a self-service basis. That's something we found as a big miss for a 4-stars hotel. Wanna a coffee? Go and do it at the machine (a tip: ask to have a coffee done at the bar upstairs. Definitely better quality). Water? the dispenser. We were expecting a different way. In the end, for us it worked since we got used to go for omelets or scrambled eggs...but nevertheless it wasn't what we looked for. - the dinner: that was for us another pain point. We used the dinner only ones and, again, we found the setup not aligned with our expectations. There is for sure a choice of plates, but we found it put in the "wrong" way. Basically, you get a menu with a choice between two soups, some kind of cold and warm starters you have to pick from a buffet, and then you can pick one of the main dishes in the list. Well, we were expecting a regular menu, with multiple choices among starters, main dishes, sides, etc etc. - On top of that, our son wanted a past dish, and even if the tomato sauce was tasty, the pre-cooked pasta was way too chewy. Finally, can you find something better in Oetz? for what we saw, the answer is a sound No. Would we go back? Not sure. Maybe, choosing since the beginning the formula B&B. However, we didn't leave super impressed with Oetz and in the Region we will maybe prefer to drive a bit farther to Seefeld. Don't know. So, kudos to the hotel management for the floor from Reception to the roof. On th
